I'm using the Moto X right now. I enjoy the stock Android experience more so than any other skin or anything else. Nothing runs as good as stock android IMO. Everything is buttery quick, and the Moto assist and touchless control is awesome. Just wished they kept the smaller form factor of the older Moto x, rather than the new larger style.

I wish the Moto X had a better camera. I would've gotten one if it wasn't for that..

It's not the camera. It's Androd's bad camera software. That's why the best Android cameras don't run stock Android. It's pretty sad, imo.

Actually, it's Motorola's software that they used on the phone. The Nexus 5 camera is pretty damn good.

I don't agree on the Nexus 5 camera being good, at all. It was an "ok" camera when it first came out, and now comparing it to the LG, Samsung, iPhone, it's really showing its age. And Motorola software is based off of AOSP. They add enhancements on top of it, but the code is majority AOSP.

Don't forget Nexus' are not really consumer phones. They are reference devices, and vehicles for the new OS. So cameras, speakers, and other consumer-y things are not as important. This 6 might have a change of gear, but I wont count on it.

After a few years of iOS I have jumped back to team to Android with the Galaxy 5. Absolutely loving the screen, battery life, connectivity with my TV/Surround system, etc... Any tips for customizing the appearance (Home screen)?

I'm very familiar with Nexus phones and their intended audience and I've owned a couple. The Nexus 5 camera is pretty Damn good if you know what you're doing. If you spend any time on G+ you'll see shots from the Nexus 5 that proves it's more than capable. The software has been improved throughout the life of the phone. It's no longer just a developer phone or reference device as evidence of the improved specs in the Nexus 5. The 6 will have flagship specs also.

                      NOTE 4 review from PhoneArena.com

                      10 more days!

                      Conclusion

Samsung has one helluva powerful smartphone with the Galaxy Note 4, that's for sure. The device that started this whole craze about ultra large screen phones, aka phablets, is back, and it comes with a better user experience than ever, now that Samsung has had the opportunity to perfect some of its essential components, such as the screen accuracy, performance, and S Pen functionality.

Staying true to the traditional Samsungey design language, the Galaxy Note 4 isn't really what we'd call a looker, but at least Samsung has gotten rid of the fake stitches on the back side, and has added a metal frame in order to pump things up a bit in the build quality department. Nevertheless, we still aren't amazed by the overall quality of execution here, as some other manufacturers have shown us way more desirable phablet offerings, such as Apple with the iPhone 6 Plus, and LG with the G3.

The lackluster design, though, has been made up for, thanks to the brilliant AMOLED display, which can finally show both ultra-saturated and lush colors, as well as realistic ones. Add the great 1440p resolution and massive diagonal to the equation, and it makes for a truly breath-taking display – this time around, Samsung has really gotten things right.

When it comes to its software component, we still aren't amazed by what TouchWiz looks like, as well as how it runs, but we have to point out that some real effort has gone into the optimization and enhancement of Samsung's proprietary user interface. TouchWiz on the Note 4 looks better than ever, and it also runs pretty decently. We sure hope that Samsung will update both the Galaxy S5, and especially the Note 3 with this new UI, because that will significantly freshen up the experience with the company's last-year phablet. As for the new features, we do enjoy the new S Pen capabilities, which make the stylus more useful and accurate than before. As for the handset's UV and SpO2 meters, well, those are obviously very niche things, but of course, it doesn't hurt to have those on board as well.

The Galaxy Note 4 has proven to be a very feature-rich, and well-executed phablet, and when you conciser its amazing 16 MP camera, along with the cutting-edge Snapdragon 805 , it really makes for a phone without any significant drawbacks. It is yet to be seen if the Note 4 will have such an easy time against its rivals out there, such as the G3 and the iPhone 6 Plus, but one thing is certain – if you're simply looking for a great, no-compromise phablet, and you find the benefits of having a stylus useful – chances are that the Galaxy Note 4 is what you're looking for. Do you note?

                      Pros

                      • Beautiful AMOLED display
                      • Cutting-edge Snapdragon 805 SoC
                      • Feature-packed software experience
                      • Great stylus with useful capabilities
                      • Superb camera

                      Cons

                      • Uninspiring appearance
                      • Inconsistent software design
                      • Limited 4K recording

No commentary, just demonstration and music. Can't wait to get my hands on it. Verizon won't have it until the 24th, though.

LOL. I spend PLENTY of time on Google+, too much time actually. And I'm also a phone reviewer, I've used the Nexus 5 for an extended amount of time. I've also used every other flagship and everything in between. As always it's personal opinion as a person who does photography and when comparing it to other camera phones, it's not a great camera. It does take some good shots from time to time, but consistently it's not a great camera. Low light is poor, flash washes out images, and lack of ios hurt any moving image. I don't think any Android camera using Android stock software is any good. Google just does not make good camera software, and the images hurt because of that.

And, I do agree that the Nexus 6 leaked specks will prove that it's no longer a reference device. I just want to see the price tag on it. It seems that is going to be one beast of a device.

As always. we can respectfully disagree and it's cool . Just glad your on the Android side for your mobile experience!

                              Re: Official Android Discussion Thread

Hey guys. I've been using the International Note 4 for a week now and here are some quick impressions.

                              - Phone is a screamer, it's very very fast.
                              - The screen is fantastic to look at. Seems over saturated a bit, but most Samsung/Apple products are.
                              - The spen features are cool, but as always, I don't think I'll honestly use it after a few weeks.
                              - The build is AMAZING one of the best "in-hand" experiences of I've had with a phone. Period.
                              - The metal around the edges makes a WORLD of difference.
                              - The way the edges contours is always amazing, and it just "sits" in your hand.
                              - The phone feels smaller than the Note3 due to the design, it's not "that big" as people would suggest. YMMV

                              - Touchwiz is still annoying, and it adds a bit of "delay" when pressing buttons sometimes, which is pretty annoying.
                              - The speakers are very very loud, and still sounds clear.
                              - Speaker phone is one of the better ones i've used. The speakers really pump LOUD. Also the person on the other end could hear me without an issue.
                              - Gaming as expected is great. Jitters are few and far in between.
                              - Battery life is like the S5. I get around 16-18 hours with 3 and 1/2 hours of Screen On Time (SOT). (This may be different with US versions, since mine did not run on LTE since it was international and did not support our LTE bands.)

Sorry for the brevity of these impressions! Just wanted to share a few things that stuck out with me during this week.
