LOL. I spend PLENTY of time on Google+, too much time actually. And I'm also a phone reviewer, I've used the Nexus 5 for an extended amount of time. I've also used every other flagship and everything in between. As always it's personal opinion as a person who does photography and when comparing it to other camera phones, it's not a great camera. It does take some good shots from time to time, but consistently it's not a great camera. Low light is poor, flash washes out images, and lack of ios hurt any moving image. I don't think any Android camera using Android stock software is any good. Google just does not make good camera software, and the images hurt because of that.

And, I do agree that the Nexus 6 leaked specks will prove that it's no longer a reference device. I just want to see the price tag on it. It seems that is going to be one beast of a device.

As always. we can respectfully disagree and it's cool . Just glad your on the Android side for your mobile experience!

DTown - battery life doesn't sound that great if you only get 3.5 hours. Is it on par with others? I would hope it would be better.

Yeah depends on what he's doing with it. I expect more from a Note. Maybe stress-testing?

I read that as he's getting 16-18 hrs with around 3 of those hours being screen on time.

Yeah but that's my concern. Lots of phones have decent standby time. I'm hoping to have 6-8 hours of usage time in addition to roughly that much standby time. I recall getting that with the Note3, the M8 and some others. I don't game much on my phone though.

Just hoping a phone this big has a great battery the only draw for me is the big screen and big battery, especially if I have to figure out where to keep a mobile device this size.

Ah I aee. The reviews/previews I've seen and read have indicated a very good battery life, including the video review posted earlier in here.

I would imagine more reviews will roll out next week but I'm not too worried........ yet. Lol

Which is NOT bad but not as good as we've come to expect from the Note. It is running the QHD display though and they really didn't add much more battery, if any. I have not seen one review that had an issue with battery life.

A week from today!


I went into Best Buy last night and they had the white and black version, glad I went with black. The white looked so good on the videos, but in person I prefer the black. Although I wish it was more black than black/grey.

Surprise, surprise! The Note 4 defies expectations by acing our battery life test, becomes the longest-lasting QHD phone

So how do we test? Put simply, we run a script with varying loads that attempts to replicate real-life, non-stop usage, with the screen set to 200 nits. This means that the average Joe should be able to squeeze nearly 9 hours of screen on-time with the Note 4 going through a typical daily routine of calls, texts, browsing, and games. On average. In other words, expect the Note 4 to hold fast for at least a day and a half, and even more if you go easy on it and make sure to remember to turn on its excellent Ultra Power Saving Mode when low on charge.


Speaking of charge, we were also very happy to see that Samsung has delivered a device that supports truly quick charging -- the massive cell of the Note 4 needed just 95 minutes to charge. That's an absolute record for a juicer this big, and yet another piece of great new for those of us who consider the battery aspect of a smartphone to be a big deal.


We've got to hand it to Samsung -- it did good with the Note 4.
