So my phone finally but the dust. i had a Nexus 4 before on t-mobi l and i loved that phone
e but i have switched companies. i looked at the Nexus 5 at launch and decided that would be my next phone but the price has gone way up instead of a price drop. that's crazy. Anybody wanna trade a Samsung galaxy s for a nexus 5 lol.

Sigh. Had my HTC one m8 for a month, and now I dropped it today and the screen cracks. Great. Now I have to deal with cracked/shattered screen until my upgrade in 2016.

There's a way to fix it yourself or have someone do it for you. I bought new glass for my S3 and my buddy took an hour to do it. You could probably have someone do it for you from Craigslist or look up a YouTube video.

It's crazy here in Philippines a guy on the side of the street fixes cracked iPhones in like 20 minutes for just 10 bucks.

Well, that sucks for sure... were you carrying it around without a case?

It can definitely be repaired. Just keep in mind, on the htc's you have to replace the whole screen assembly (glass + digitizer). You should be able to find them online for about $75.

Yeah I was waiting stacking money this week for that dot view case. Of ourse hte week before I buy it, this happens.

I've looked up htc one teardowns because I wanted to see since ive done fixes for my old phones. I replaced my old galaxy nexus pretty much top to bottom before I finally moved onto this

This htc one though? The screen is a bitch to replace. You're pretty much breaking the whole thing down and the last thing is the screen, thats if you dont screw the wiring up with all the wires and glue inside. The one m7 and m8 are horrendous for self screen replacements. Its the only thing stopping me from doing it on my own.

Bought it a month ago? HTC has got your back. Free screen replace in the first 6 months on all M8. Look it up, it's called HTC Advantage.

I didn't put the time frame into perspective, but this is true. I think it was actually on the green screen protector/sticker on the phone, out of the box.

Picked up my first Android today. After exhaustive research and flip-flopping, I ended up going with the Moto X. Coming from an old iPhone, I'm loving the flexibility and functionality of the Android OS. I'm going to enjoy playing with this thing. Really happy with my purchase.

How is everyone's battery life on the Note 4? This is easily the best battery life I have had on a phone, but looking at other peoples battery life on Androidcentral, and it's not nearly as good as some others. It's not my battery though, as I have two different ones. Something has to be draining it.

Depends on what you are doing. This battery is a beast overall though. I can get six hours of screen on time easy on cellular but I also limit notifications where I can.

I made a few small changes and I did a cache wipe of the phone. I got 7.5 hours of screen time and 15 hours total yesterday. Since my changes I get about 5.5-7 on screen time. At least 12 hours battery.

No chance in hell I could get 5.5 hours of screen time out of a single charge with my M7. That sounds awesome.
