Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Mario Kart is being updated every 2 weeks right now. Looks like they are pushing the gold pass $4.99 a month, but it's not needed unless you want to try to get all the drivers and carts. I should be up to tier 10 in the cups after this one and level 15 or whatever that is.
I finished all the races, but can't complete the last 2 as I don't have the driver and you may need 200cc which requires the gold pass.

What messenger platform do you guys use?
For better or worse Google text messaging has gotten worse in functionality over the years IMO.
Id love to use something more stable but have no idea what the actual good ones are these days.Comment

Recently bought the Galaxy Tab S6 to replace my lost-now-found Galaxy Note 8.
Does anyone have one of these? If so, what sort of keyboard do you use?PSN: FiSH_M3ATComment

I have a S4 and don't use a keyboard. Unless you are going to be working with it, I haven't seen a need for one.Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
WOW, now I have the Note 10 plus white Aura 256 and I love the phone, but man I just got the Panda White Pixel 4Xl ans its a lot different then I expected, meaning I really like a lot, actually maybe more then mot Note 10 plus.
The Phone is Beautiful and feels extremely premium, the camra box in the back is much smaller then I thought it would be, which is nice.
Call me crazy but I'm keeping my Pixel 4 XL for sure, now I need to sell my Note 10 plus. Anyone know any good sites to do this.N.Y Mets
N.Y Giants
N.Y Knicks
N.Y Islanders

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Not a flagship phone guy one bit, but had to upgrade as my Moto Droid Play was having some hardware concerns and found a good deal for a 32 gb Moto G7 Power on ebay ($150 brand new).
Decided to "de-Googleize" my phone as much as possible and looking for some good sources from which to download apps. I don't typically fill more than 2 home screens and even then, probably only use 1/2 of those predominantly.
Instead of the Google Play Store, I've started to mainly use Aptoide and found it's not bad. SlideME is one website's recommendation, but haven't looked into it much. Since bringing in apk's is easy, just wondering if any websites out there are the most reliable/trustworthy. Mainly would like the Outlook app and see it on apkpure.com as well as androidapksfree.com. Any other suggestions here for apps?Comment

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Anyone picking up any of the new android offerings? Galaxy S20 FE, Pixel 4a 5g, pixel 5, any of the others?
I have the pixel 5 on preorder currently, but I'm having second thoughts. The 3.5 headphone hack is important to me, and I feel like the phone is a bit overpriced with its specs.
I do like wireless charging, water resistance, slightly smaller screen size and finger print location, and stock Android.
Pixel 4a 5g has the headphone jack and it is at a much better price, but no wireless charging and a little bigger phone
Galaxy s20 FE also seems like a good choice, but again no headphone jack.

Re: Official Android Discussion Thread
Just got an email about one app I'm using no longer supporting Android devices below Android 7.
Maybe I just haven't been following things, but I feel like most apps have been compatible with all Android devices above Android 4.4 for quite some time.
This seems like it could be the next shift for all apps.
Not that most people have anything to worry about, most phones are above Android 7 anyways (even mine is from a few years ago which originally came with 7, but upgrades up to 9), but I do wonder how long until anything below 10 becomes incompatible. I'd say probably a few years anyways.
I'm hoping I can keep my phone for at least a few more years. Say what you want about more expensive phone aka iPhones, but my phone cost a fraction of the price of an iPhone of people I know, but has a better camera (minus video quality since iPhone has 4k), and so much more storage thanks to supporting SD cards and lasts so much longer. Only reason I'd upgrade is if my current one breaks or becomes incompatible.Comment
