    Definitely looks awesome.

Doesn't hurt that it has two of my favorite actors in it.

I'm looking forward to it, though I wonder if South Africans feel flattered, insulted, or perplexed that a film featuring their greatest sporting moment has an American director and American stars (albeit top-notch ones).

It looks good, but I've never liked big-name actors in movies like these. Morgan Freeman can't become Nelson Mandela because he'll always be Morgan Freeman.

I dunno, he looks pretty convincing as Mandela to me.

Anyways this movie looks real good and I'll definitely watch it.

Morgan Freeman as Nelson Mandela; I don't think Mandela could play Mandela better. Should be a great film, good year coming up for South Africa. Possibly an award-winning film and the World Cup, maybe Retief Goosen will add a major for the sake of things happening in threes....

But not to get too far off topic, should be a great flick.

Freeman was damn near BORN to play Mandela.

Can't wait for this one with rugby being my favorite sport. It was truly amazing that the 'Boks won the World Cup that year. Jonah Lomu was pretty much unstoppable for New Zealand and is famous for steamrolling pretty much every team, but especially the whole England team in the quarter-finals. Everyone thought they were a lock to win. Hope this storyline is part of the movie.

Not nearly as much of a surprise when South Africa won back in 2007.

You could say that anyone who isn't Nelson Mandela will be <insert actor> playing Nelson Mandela.

You could say that, but I wouldn't. I like seeing unknown actors in those kinds of roles because they don't have any baggage. They have the opportunity to become the characters they play.

Morgan Freeman is one of the most well-known actors in the world; the movie will always be about him. Just look at this thread; every post is about Morgan Freeman.
