Family Guy hasn't been consistently good since it came back from cancellation. Way overrated.

I actually think it's better than ever. The irony that I used a pre-cancellation clip as rebuttal to the quality of post-cancellation episodes did not escape me. I really do like the show now as much as I ever did. It and American Dad are good shows imo.

The Cleveland Show...well, not so good.

As for the Simpsons, yeah it's just time. I used to watch it religiously but I haven't for about 15 years now.

Someone mentioned an idea of aging the characters to make it fresher and open up potential for new stories, that would be really interesting. No way they'd do it though.

Did you watch last week's Simpsons with Superintendent Chalmers getting Bart and the bullies interested in Teddy Roosevelt? It was actually a pretty charming and at times funny episode.
That's the one that I watched. I think I thought that was the premiere, lol.

Cee-lo hot tub of horrors episode was fantastic
Kenny: Ok Vic, I'm ready for some girl on girl action.
Vic: No Kenny, that's girl versus girl.
            Kenny: What's the difference?
Vic: Well, in one, one girl wins. In the other....
            Kenny: Everyone wins?!?!

For an animation, sure, but it's coming nowhere near close to the series finale of M.A.S.H. or Roots.

They should have at least let it get to 25 seasons.

Yessir, I loved it. I'm really digging their recent trend of really developing those characters, using things that happened in past episodes for continuity. I like all of the Meg-centric episodes and the last one was probably my favorite. She went absolutely off on them.

Even though I don't like The Cleveland Show nearly as much I enjoyed that they referenced Brian's douchebaggery on their last episode as well.

Looks like a stay of execution for a couple more years...

THR has learned that the Fox series' lead actors are ready to agree to a pay cut to keep the show going, however it won't be as steep as the 45 percent reduction asked for by execs.

I stopped watching regularly around 2001 or so. Man, everything up to that point was so, so good.
The Simpsons has gotten way better these past two seasons and has actually aired several classic, pantheon episodes. In particular the sabremetrics episode from last season. So I'm really glad the show will be on at least two more seasons.

                          Wow, really?

Do you mind maybe coming up with a list of these episodes? I'd love to check them out.

                            Recent Episodes I really liked:

23x01: The Falcon and the D'oh!man ("24" parody throughout, with Kiefer Sutherland guest-starring. I was a big "24 fan," so it was really impossible for me not to really like this episode).

22x21: 500 Keys (Homer flying the Duff Blimp is hilarious)

22x18: The Great Simpsina (Kriss Angel is Douche Bag, and this episode parodies him brilliantly).

22x13: The Blue and the Gray (Homer as wing-man for all his friends is great).

22x10: Mom's I'd Like to Forget (Fourth graders vs. Fifth Graders at dodgeball cracked me up, as did any scene with the Comic Book Guy).

22x08: The Fight Before Christmas (This was just an okay episode for me, but the last scene with the Simpsons as Muppets slayed me. The episode is worth it just for that scene alone).

22x05: Lisa Simpsons, This Isn't Your Life (Lisa fears winding up like her mother for the 8 billionth time, but this really well done).

22x03 MoneyBART (Moneyball is my all-time favorite sports book, so it would take a lot for me to hate this episode. This is one of my favorite episodes in years, and, in my opinion, a pantheon Simpsons episode.

Obviously, your mileage will vary with these episodes, as liking them or not is subjective.

Awesome, I'll check those out. I think I saw the Fight Before Christmas episode. A 24 episode? Awesome! Was it better than the South Park one?
