I must say that I'm clueless as to how she had a heart attack at her age.

I don't think he was asking for the defintion of a heart attack.

It was more a comment about how it is rare for a 32 year old, skinny female to have a heart attack this early in her life without pre-exsisting complications, or substances.

Here I assumed he was just trying to be funny by referencing one of her movies, in bold and italic, in his posting. Maybe I read too much between the lines then I guess.

her husband didn't want an autopsy done. Probably because he knows why. Maybe Cocaine. Most people would want to know how their wife died, especially at that age. Police are doing one anyways so...

That was definitely out of no where. I liked her a lot, especially in Clueless, Sin City and Spun. My wife and I just happened to be talking about her a week or so ago when I read she had been replaced by some actress from Twilight for a role. Then there was the out of no where spoofing on SNL, and now she's dead. Wow.

I didn't know she had an eating disorder but she does look painfully thin in that pic posted. She always had the "look" of a druggie but I figured that was her hook or something. Like I said, out of nowhere.

Her best roles (all my opinion, of course) were in Clueless; Girl, Interrupted; and 8 Mile (in that order).

who said substances weren't involved? my point is that this wasn't necessarily a heart attack. a drug overdose could have triggered her cardiac arrest.

I wasn't commenting on the death - I've already made it clear that I am in the "drugs are most likely involved" camp in this thread.

I was responding to the fact that you gave the medical description of cardiac arrest when...it wasn't asked for, and didn't really fit as a response to the post you quoted.

We all know celebrity/athlete death happens in 3's so, I'm guessing that theRE will be another death within the next few days.

I thought she was good there too, but I haven't seen the movie in a while. Plus I wouldn't say I "love" her as a nutcase.

I just seriously hope that for once there isn't "more to the story." I hope that these causes were as natural and unexpected as can be... that is, aside from that anorexic look she began developing around the end of her life.

As far as I'm concerned, this news hasn't spread around too much yet. I'd say her roles were well known and her name would strike as familiar to some people, though not everyone may have been able to put two-and-two together. I guess as long as they showcase her best work, people may be able to see a little more of what she's done.

(this is all assuming this was less than a drug problem)
