Re: Rate these tv's
Pretty accurate. It could possibly make a difference if you're using it as a computer monitor and need to see some small text. But then you are sitting super close (1 ft away).
But in normal viewing situations, it's not needed.Last edited by GAMEC0CK2002; 12-29-2009, 01:21 AM.Comment

Re: Rate these tv's
As for needing bigger to see a difference. That's not true IMO. What really matters is how far are you sitting away from the display (Viewing Distance) I had a 32" 720p LCD in my bedroom. I just upgraded to a 37" 1080p LCD & the difference in the picture is very noticable. My viewing distance is about 8ft.
As for LED LCD as a TECH. I own the NEW TOSHIBA LED "Back-Light" LCD TV. 55" IMO the picture quality is on par with some of the BEST PLASMA's on the market. Black Levels are very deep & Colors look really good. Motion is very good also.
If you are looking into LED LCD look @ "Back-Light" LED. It will give you are more better & accurate picture than "Edge-Lit" LED LCD TV.Comment

Re: Rate these tv's
Well I know the type of tv dont necessarly have to do with the sound. However I have had about 5 people who own one tell me the sound was kind of poor due to the fact the tv itself is so thin, they cant really fit any decent size speakers within the tv.
But anyway that really dont matter to me because I hook every tv that I own up to a surround sound system. Now that edge lighting and back lighting is what confuses the hell out of me. From my understanding only certain Samsung models have the edge lighting correct ?
And far as plasmas go.....which model and brand is the best kind to get ?? For I know for sure the Sanyo plasmas are crap, along with the emerson plasmas.
So with plasmas is it really what you get is what you pay for kind of thing ? For example the only good plasmas are the one over $1,000 type of thing ? Like what kind of specs should one look for in a plasma ?Comment

Depending on what your looking to spend is what will probably determine your choices. If your looking to stay under $1,000 or close to that price & trying to get 50" & wanna "Future Proof" by going 1080p these are probably your choices:

As for LED LCD TV's unfortunately you won't find any in that price range.Comment

Vizio's are very solid, especially considering how they are priced. Here's a review on their 55": http://reviews.cnet.com/flat-panel-t...?tag=mncol;lstComment
