Pretty much. It's basic entertainment. I'd MUCH rather watch Two and a Half Men for mindless entertainment than other **** people watch to get their fill.

It was interesting how in the Piers Morgan interview they both blamed CBS for giving Charlie that humongous contract for Two and a Half Men when it was well known in Hollywood circles that Sheen is a crazy, wild party guy. It's like as Morgan said giving a candy store to a kid with an addiction to sweets.

Actually, Sean Penn said something telling, yet vauge on this topic yesterday that made me think that his recent behavior was actually a combo of BOTH the above quotes...

It's always somebody else's fault. Sheen is a grown man and if he wants to party until he dies more power to him.

It's Hollywood and everybody uses everybody to get what they want. Both parties lined their pockets.

I agree with you on this. I've had discussions with other folks about this and the common theme is that as long as Sheen isn't disrupting the filming of the show than CBS has no right to go digging into his private life even if it's plastered all over the media.

Yeah it's not like the producers etc haven't all made a tonne of money of this show themselves. I don't particularly love the show (it's pretty much one or two jokes recycled 50 million different ways) but I do agree that it almost makes the show better knowing Charlie is basically himself in the show.

Random: For my law class my teacher is giving extra credit if we can find the contract online between Sheen and 2 and a half men. (She said there might be a liquidated damages clause)

Before I go searching I just wanted to know if there is a place I can find it...?

                          thanks!

Is The Smoking Gun still around? That might be one place to look.

When and why was production cancelled? Was there a reason given?

This is what I get from Wiki:

On January 28, 2011, Charlie Sheen entered a rehabilitation center voluntarily for the third time in 12 months. According to Warner Bros. Television and CBS, the show has been put on hiatus for an unknown amount of time.[21]

On February 24, 2011, CBS announced that Two and a Half Men would cease production for the season, due to Charlie Sheen's verbal attacks on the show's producer on The Alex Jones Show.[22]
