Re: This my newest toy.
Pretty soon Brian going to be the next M. Knight, making movies. Or heck he could make his own web shows like Tekzilla. Yeah I know church editing equipment can be pricey......even recording audio ONLY equipment cost more then what your average person realize.Comment

Re: This my newest toy.
If this goes well and I get some regular projects, I'm pondering getting a Panasonic professional camcorder. I used to use $20,000 cameras at the local TV station, back in the day. Gonna have to aim waaaay lower. LOL! Then you add lav mics and editing controllers (which Vegas does support) It gets real steep, real fast! I might hit up the local cable access channel. You take their little class and you can use their equipment. Also have a friend that teaches at the local Tech High School. I think I might be able to persuade her, if the project is big enough. I have my sources, just not the money. Yet!Note to Tiburon Marketing:

Gotcha. Video and audio editing sounds like a big financial and time investment, when done effectively.Comment

First NCAA vid. It looks so smooth on the computer, but a little jerky on YouTube. Gonna try and use MP4 files for upload, see if that helps. Weird they also only gave me 240p and 720p. Always have had a 360 and 480p option. Maybe it's still processing?

Re: This my newest toy.
Another Christmas another addition! Found this 23" Gateway on Tiger Direct for $139.00. http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...530&CatId=4420
I now have even more real-estate to play with. I'm going to hook it to both my i7 and Joel's old beast and then just switch inputs when he uses it. I just like how I can run it in extended desktop and and move my Hauppauge capture module over to the 23" side, then I don't have to switch inputs on the Dynex to capture highlights. It also gets used as an external monitor for Vegas projects, giving me a big enough picture to really see and more workspace for Vegas itself. I need to get me either another internal HDD or a large external. With all of my video footage for church projects and gaming highlights I'm already at 550 GB on the 1TB that came with this PC. Oh well, bit at a time.
For yucks I went on AVA Direct and built my dream PC. Only $7188! i7 980-X Extreme, 4 1TB 6.0 GB/sec HDD, 24 GB RAM, 2 Radeon 5970 2 GB cards in Crossfire, Liquid Cooled, USB 3.0, the works. Next Christmas! LOL!Note to Tiburon Marketing:

Re: This my newest toy.
WOW....So do you keep all this equipment in like a den or your basement or spare bedroom or what ? I take it you would need like 2 or 3 tables to hold all this stuff. Great stuff man, I love techie stuff.Comment
