Re: Spider-Man reboot in 2012
Sort of disappointed:
SpoilerI don't think the Lizard can hold a movie all by himself. Hes an alright character i guess but i don't want him to be the only villain; however i don't want the crap that was Spiderman 3 and have multiply villains.
But since Parker will also be getting his powers for the first time and this being an origin story, the Lizard can hold my attention for now, but i would of rather had a serious villain. I guess this'll have to doSpoilerThe Lizard is a serious villain, if only for the fact it's the perfect villain to start Parker off with. Parker is coming into his own as Spiderman, learning all of that, and I assume they'll go with the Lizard as one of Peter's teachers route...which means not only will Spiderman be trying to prove to the city he's good for them, but he'll also be facing a villain that he doesn't really want to hurt.Comment

Here's a villain that Spidey doesn't really want to hurt because he knows the guy personally and knows that he isn't your run of the mill crazy villain.Member of the Official OS Bills Backers Club

Re: Spider-Man reboot in 2012
SpoilerExactly - it's the perfect start-up villain for an origin story. It'll provide a lot more emotional growth for Parker turning into Spiderman when he realizes that, in order to fully become the "hero" he has to face a villain that he cares for.Comment

Since it is an origin story, the focus will be on Parker becoming Spiderman and taking responsibility as a hero and then the Lizard as a villain who holds a special place in Pete's worldComment

Re: Spider-Man reboot in 2012
Just in time for Comic-Con, our first hi-res look at The Amazing Spider-Man mask arrives. And yes, we will be busy for days scrutinizing every single detail. (*Opens can of Pringles, puts on jeweler's loupe*)
GeekTyrant.com has an insanely high-quality close-up image of the mask and suit, with the costume giving off a very Alex Ross vibe in terms of design and shading. (And if you look real close, True Believers, you can see Peter Parker's eyes behind the mask's lenses.)
SlashFilm.com also has some great hi-res scans from Entertainment Weekly's issue profiling the new Spidey reboot, which stars The Social Network's Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker. In EW, fans can see more pics of the suit and an image of Spidey's mechanical web shooters (see below.)
The trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man will be attached to Marvel's Captain America: The First Avenger, and many will get an early glimpse of Spidey in action when the movie premieres footage at this year's Comic-Con.

Re: Spider-Man reboot in 2012
I saw the pictures before but I had no idea that there was gonna be a trailer so soon. Now I'm even more excited for Captain America.Originally posted by BlzerLet me assure you that I am a huge proponent of size, and it greatly matters. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)Comment

If the rumors that "the Avengers" movie trailer might be the post-credits scene, and this will be in the previews...Captain America is a must-see for comic book/superheo fans.Comment

Looks like a scuba diving suit, maybe that's what it's made of...
It's nice that they want to get closer to the original Spider-Man, but the gloves are a bit different than the way it was originally designed. I think originally the gloves were all red, but here they become blue around the fingers. My Specs:

CPU: Z80 @ 3.5 MHz
GPU: Monochrome display
RAM: 48 KB
