Between this and Captain America... the high quality Marvel films look to be going the way of the Dodo.

Just average movies that have a connection to fantastic source material.

Thor was decent. Ironman was decent. 2nd one was subpar.

Not to go too far off topic but the more I see the commercials, the worse it looks.

That chick kissing him thanking him for his service to America? Can't get any more lame and cliche than that. If this is anything like Thor it will be just another blah, go through the Marvel comic motions-type movie. They add some cool stuff but again - the source material is what is cool, not how they executed the movies.

Ehhh. I'll wait to see more, but I agree there just wasn't a "Spider-Man feel" to it.

Also, the first person thing was kind of lame. I'm positive it was just for the trailer though.

I loved thor and all the recent marvel movies...

as for the trailer I think that this is just a bad trailer I doubt the First person stuff makes it to the movie.

Maybe its just me, but the films Marvel actually produces themselves are too great as movies. Sure, they keep to the "source" material more and to the canon, but who the hell cares its a damn movie.

Anyway, trailer has me a little..withdrawn from excitement with this film, though. I had been digging the teaser posters/pictures and the set-pics, but the trailer just didn't feel like anything.

Looks fine, as long as that POV shot isn't in the movie itself.

Still don't know why this had to be rebooted though (aside from the Marvel tie-in).

My son is upset over this one, his first real favorite movies were the last Spider-man's. I will give it a chance.

Because Raimi ruined the original trilogy and Spider-Man is one of the biggest cash cows in the world.
