Kirsten Dunst was not hot enough, Emma Stone isn't hot enough either. They just seem to be missing the mark on MJ. She's sexy, sassy, extremely beautiful and knows it. She's the popular girl in school and arm candy for the captain of the football team. There's no way a guy like Peter Parker should be able to pull off a girl like this and the actress they choose has to have to the physical chops to reflect this.

I think Emma is cute in her own way but she just doesn't come close to the hotness level MJ is supposed to be. I think I like Kirsten Dunst better from a pure physical standpoint. They both look their best with their mouths closed but Kirsten has (had? haven't seen her in a while) a much better body IMO. Acting wise I don't see how anyone could consider it anything other than a wash.

When I first read the post stating Stone as MJ, I was initially happy because I got Stone confused with Emma Roberts, who I think would be a pretty good choice for a teenage MJ.

Kirsten Dunst was hot enough in the first you. To be honest all of the spidermans kinda sucked. They gos progressively worse, and WTF was up with the last one.

Petey looks pretty good, Emma Stone seems kinda dorky for MJ, but idk if she was supposed too or not. Either way it wasn't a bad move, but I'm sure there were better ones

Dunst has never looked hot to me. Looking similar to a telephone pole with eyes is not my idea of attractiveness.

I cannot agree with you about the first two Spiderman movies. The second one is one of the best comic book movies and the first one isn't far off either. The third one just sucked completely, though.

Honestly, I wasn't even planning on seeing this until they cast Emma Stone. Loved her in Zombieland. Loved that whole movie.

Hell, Easy A intrigues me too. Again, solely because she's in it. And it's supposed to be good, so that helps.

I agree 100% with everything you said.

Didnt like Dunst at all for MJ, and the 2nd film was great, 1st one pretty good. Loved it when it first came out. The 3rd one... I actually liked it in the beginning but absolutely fell apart as the movie went on. Terrible ending, just terrible.

ehh its a matter of taste. When dunst was a red head like she was in the first one she was a babe. especially that scene where its raining

And all of the spiderman's are incredibly kiddy. I'm fine with kiddy but they took it to an extreme in all of them

EXACTLY! MJ was insanely hot and not anywhere near Pete's league.

They need to pick someone who fits that bill. If Meagan Fox wasn't so famous, she'd be perfect. She has that look.

BTW for those of you not quite getting why we're insisting on someone super hot as MJ. Take a look at the way she was drawn and inked during Todd McFarlane's run on Spidey. You'll completely see the point there.

In her high school years she was pretty catty, a bit of an airhead and a party girl. She would deflect any negative things going on in her life by becoming the life of the party.

So I would say she could be like a typical "popular girl" with some hidden self esteem issues.

I disagree about the movies getting progressively worse. The first was really solid, the second was a classic. One of the best superhero movies ever. But then it all went downhill with the third. I just like to pretend that movie never happened.

I have no problem with Emma Stone. I just always thought that whoever was going to be MJ should be insane levels of hot. That's how it was in the comics.
