Re: Movies that instilled FEAR into you.
Ringu.
Funny some mention it or "The Ring".
I S you not. I had just finished watching the movie and my daughter, who has long black hair came walking down the stairs w/ her hair in front of her face and it scared the BEJEEZUS out of me, but I didn't want her to see that I was scared, being the "Man of the House" and everything, but I'm telling you, I almost dropped a duece that night, right in front of her. She just happened to wake up that night, REAL late, because of a nightmare of all things. It was so f'ing unbelievable. I maybe slept 2 hours that night. Still gives me the shivers just typing it, LOL. I mean, it was just WTF! ARE YOU SERIOUS!?!?!
My god. LOL.Comment

Re: Movies that ingest FEAR into you.
Here, imo, is a perfect example of how to do suspense. Old school when a stranger calls back, the tension they were able to make is fantastic, not so much scary, just tense and suspenseful, i want scenes/movies such as this. However, the rest of the movie sucks imo. But the intro is A+.
The following is the intro, take a look.

Re: Movies that ingest FEAR into you.
Paranormal Activity - with a booming surround system and watching it with no lights on. Heaven!
Blair Witch Project - Saw it opening night, sold out theater, the last 10 minutes the tension was unbelievable in that theater.
The Ring - The ending was incredible the first time I saw it, had chills.
Poltergeist - To this day, I still can't watch it that it freaked me out so bad as a kid.
The Exorcist - The entire movie is incredible, the director's cut is even better.
And with earlier, even though Exorcist III is awful, the nurse station scene made me jump back when I saw that movie in the theater.Comment

Re: Movies that ingest FEAR into you.
Poltergeist was good until it got down right ridiculous (Falling into the graveyard with skeletons). Movie completely dropped the ball on the end and should have been over earlier. Exorcist is the best horror movie ever made and is a wonderful piece of art.Comment
