Re: That 90's Thread
I do remember having a few off-brand supersoakers back in the day. However, me and a few friends got the keychain supersoakers banned at our middle school. Before anyone can continue you will be contractually obligated to post your highest pressured Super Soaker owned betwen the dates of January 1st 1990 and December 31st 1999. The name, model, and pricing please.
Note: In extunating circumstance I will accept the following Nerf Guns as potential substitutes- The Crossbow, Ballzooka, and SuperMax 3000.

Re: That 90's Thread
I could go on for days...
TRL
Saturday morning cartoons on Nickelodeon
Legends of the Hidden Temple...the greatest show of all time
Guts
Nick Arcade
Trapper Keepers
Being treated as a god if you had the 64 box of crayons
Pokemon
The best era in professional wrestling history
NASCAR at the top of its game
Supermarket Sweep
Every girl and their mother showing up to school with Spice Girls merchandise
Going to roller skating rinks before they became druggie-infested
And that's a tiny tiny fraction...how an amazing decade like the 90's got followed by the hot garbage that was the 00's is beyond me.Comment

Re: That 90's Thread
I'm not sure if this was late 90's or not but...
Toonami had this series where Tom's (the "host") ship has gotten invaded. This lasted a while and on the night of the finale, they had a DBZ/Gundam marathon untill 12. Then the climax came on and he ended up drowning in magma...
...Only to come back taller, skinnier, and just more badass. At the time, that was the pinnacle of cool. My mind was effectively blown.

Again, i'm not completely sure that was 90's but Toonami aired in 97 so i'm sure it's close. And may thy spirit live in us, Forever LSU

Re: That 90's Thread
The 90s was the best decade as a sports fan for me. The Jays were kicking butt, the Bills weren't a joke, (well until the SB game) the Leafs were a respectable team, The Jazz were fun to watch and THEN we got our own team in Toronto.

Re: That 90's Thread
Anyone else use Prodigy back in the day get online? I remember when we first got the Internet (dial up obviously) and used Prodigy. I think that was '95 or '96 and usage was on an hourly basis. I was 14 at the time and it was my first introduction to Internet pron (it was weak as hell btw lol) and I racked up like 40 hours in one month (all late at night naturally) and my old man nearly beat the piss outta me.
I also remember when we first got broadband and how awesome it was not have to dial up and to be connected/online 24/7. This of course coincided beautifully with me discovering Napster."You make your name in the regular season, and your fame in the postseason." - Clyde Frazier

Re: That 90's Thread
Some old Nick shows are still on "Teen Nick - http://www.teennick.com/
As of a few months ago "Legends of the Hidden Temple" and "Kenan and Kel" were still going.
I was born in 90, but I wish I was a few years older. The fads of the 90's seemed so much cooler. Like someone said, POGS! Amazing! I actually still have a tube filled with them.Last edited by SuperBowlNachos; 02-22-2010, 10:12 PM.Comment
