    Re: That 90's Thread

Its one thing to see those ten years vanquish, such a thing an inevitably with time. But I will tell you this- you all have another thing coming if you think I will idly sit here and let a thread concerning that beautiful decade go along with it. We must keep it alive, it is our destiny. I lost the 90's once, I don't plan on doing it again. We must keep on keeping on.......

You have no idea...I would wear any and every jersey imaginable. I remember having:

      NFL
      Steve Young - 49ers home
      Jerry Rice - 49ers away
      Rod Woodson - Steelers home
      Troy Aikman - Cowboys away
      Emmitt Smith - Cowboys home
      Natrone Means - Jaguars home
      Reggie White - Packers home
      Ricky Watters - Eagles home
      Kerry Collins - Panthers home
      Barry Sanders - Lions home

      NBA
      Shareef Abdur-Rahim - Grizzlies home
      Mike Bibby - Grizzlies home
      Jason Kidd - Suns home
      Charles Barkley - Suns home
      Shawn Kemp - Sonics home
      Shaquille O'Neal - Magic home
      Shawn Bradley - Sixers home
Michael Jordan - Space Jam jersey
      Robert Horry - Rockets home
      Grant Hill - Pistons home
      Dennis Rodman - Mavericks home
      Joe Smith - Warriors home

And that's just off the top of my head...I wonder where those things got to, because I don't remember them being given away.

Remember when it was extraordinarily expensive to have a CD player in a car. I remember I was psyched when my grandmother bought me an adapter to let me play my discman through the tape deck in my car. It actually ended up trashing the tape deck....but I could listen to CD's!!!!!!

Next was the mixtape. Sure this hasn't gone away with a mix CD or even a special playlist, but it is all about the amount of effort. Like sitting through and listening to each song on each 45 minute side of those Zenith tapes. Even when CD Burners first showed up in 1996-97 it still took a good 30-45 minutes to burn a CD from .Wav files.

Had to bump this thread and mention another 90's favorite: Discovery Zone.

            That place was the ****.

If OS allowed Youtube videos in signatures I would so have this. You know caffeine pills are nasty son of a bitch, crack and heroin have nothing on caffeine pills.

Screech was performing at a comedy club around here a year or so ago and was on the radio discussing some of these events. He said that basically everyone on the Saved By The Bell cast was sleeping with each other and they were all smoking weed.

Interesting to read that Diamond said Gossellar was using steroids. He did get pretty big during The College Years.

From the excerpts of the book I've seen, I don't think Dustin Diamond knows where Screech ends and he begins, it is really sort of sad.
