There are three principal storylines in the series: the chronicling of a dynastic civil war for control of Westeros between several competing families; the rising threat of the Others who dwell beyond an immense wall of ice that forms Westeros' northern border; and the journey of Viserys and Daenerys Targaryen, the exiled son and daughter of a king who was murdered in another civil war fifteen years previously (War of the Usurper) and now seek to return to Westeros and claim their rightful throne. As the series progresses, all three storylines become intensely interwoven and dependent on each other.

The sprawling tale set in the mythical land of Westeros tells the story of the noble Stark family who become caught up in high court intrigue when patriarch Eddard (played by Sean Bean) becomes the king's new right-hand man.

I want to see Lena Headley as Cersei, because its hard for me to picture her as a blonde.

Also, the casting of Peter Dinklage as Tyrion = perfection.
