Sounds good, but why not allowed to see "Wanted." I am done. I really I am. It is all good. She was only thinking of her daughter and not the money.

Sounds good, even though it is pretty hypocrisy at its finest in my opinion. But you are right. I don't know the mom at all.

And you never saw a movie at her age your parents didn't let you see?

I see no issue with a kid swearing in a movie. As many pointed out, I recall hearing no controversy over Role Models and the kid's mouth in that, or numerous other roles with child actor's spewing vulgarities. If you're a parent and you think your kids aren't using these words amongst their friends, you're living in fantasy land.

I enjoy Roger Ebert and tend to agree with his reviews, he gave KA! one star because of the Hit Girl character. He was uncomfortable not with her mouth so much, but her actions and for him it was enough to ruin his experience. I do not agree with his opinion (well, to be fair, I have yet to see it but do not foresee having an issue with the character) but I can respect his opinion, though I think going the one-star route was over doing it.

I do not know what Millar's intentions were when creating Hit Girl, but to me, she is supposed to represent what a kid would really have to be like to be a successful superhero. If they ran around like Robin they'd be dead in five minutes. Her character is satire, and I find it amusing, and points fun at how absurd the Robin character is.

This movie was great. I saw it with my girl and another couple, and we all enjoyed it.
The girls all thought hit girl was awesome.
the movie was funny and it actually managed to shock you.

The girl cursing is nothing man, I've been cursing since the 2nd grade. Im still alive and I've never hurt anybody. The world isn't going to end.

I watched this movie on the internet and I must say there was a little more gore than I thought there was going to be. Liked it pretty good.

That little girl was a straight up bad *** and surprisingly my favorite character in the movie which I thought was going to be Mclovin(still pretty funny though) or Cage.

Red Mist was entirely different than I had imagined from the trailers - I enjoyed his character.

But yeah. Hit Girl will be the draw, but Nic Cage's performance is legendary and I ****in' hate Nic Cage 99% of the time.

The movie should have been called Hit Girl. Saw it today, enjoyed it, but thought it was going to blow my socks off from all the love it was getting. But like I said, I enjoyed it.

                  Re: Kick A**

I don't think Kick *** the character is a character a lot of people can truly connect with and I think that is the major flaw the film. I can see people not liking his personality, delivery, whatever and dismissing the movie simply because of that since he is the central character. Hit Girl and Big Daddy steal each and every scene they are in, but personally I liked Kick ***'s character evolution and while I thought he was trying too hard at times, was a character I could relate to.

I cringed when Hitgirl curses in this movie. Felt hella awkward. That's just me though.

As for the movie though, the only part I really liked was the last 30 mins of the movie. Hitgirl is a beast. The movie just seemed to take too long to get going.

Finally saw it tonight, and I really enjoyed it.

I really liked that it wasn't completely predictable like most movies. Hit Girl was by far the best character, she was freakin awesome.

Only thing I didn't like, and I feel awkward even saying this, was the whole relationship with the hot girl thing.
                          Spoiler

Movie would have been better without it imo.

As far as the cursing, it's hilarious that anyone wants to act like little kids don't curse anyway. I was just at a hotel and there were a group of kids saying all kinds of stuff.
