    Re: Kick A**

Saw this today and I thought the comic was much more graphic than the film. Maybe I just don't care, but I don't understand the hoopla. Hit-Girl said maybe three curse words in the entire film and never one more than once or in a row.

    Really liked this movie, though.

The one thing I didn't like too much was the way it tried to please every young man's fantasy of a girl just immediately liking you because of one traumatic moment. It was rushed for both female characters to get involved with their mates. The reasoning was also somewhat disrespectful to a woman's intellect, but whatever, they had to have romance in there some where.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

This movie was awesome. Nothing like I expected it to be.

Hit Girl stole the show for me. I didn't know she was the little girl in 500 Days Of Summer. Nic Cage was ....... well Nic Cage. McLovin was annoying though. I thought his character should have been tougher.

The movie gave me a Crank/Wanted type vibe.

Nic Cage felt different to me because I actually liked him in this role and he actually wasn't the typical Nic Cage that he's been doing the past 15 years.

                I agree.

I usually hate Cage, but found him hysterical in this role.

He actually was the typical Nic Cage but it fit in this movie. This and the two National Treasure movies have been his best jobs.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

I don't know, he seemed different to me like he was kind of mocking his typical roles in a sense.

I think Raising Arizona was easily Cage's best movie.
