I did, I guessed right about what it was going to be. Most people in the theater seemed disappointed but as a comic nerd it made sense to me.

I did. I researched it and I found it to be a little interesting nugget. Not as awesome as the Thor scene after IM2, but a nice little scene nonetheless.

I know exactly what you mean, and no disrespect to anyone at OS (not saying people are unintelligent or can't grasp the idea), but it's a losing battle here.

This discussion has come up several times in films and the same argument is always made: "It's a fantasy movie. It shouldn't be realistic."

I've learned to just accept that there are people that understand one side and others that don't. Doesn't mean anything bad about either side; just means each is looking for something different.

As for Thor, I'm still holding out on this film until I actually really want to see it. It's nice when I see people compare it to Iron Man (great film), but then I see other people say Iron Man II was just as good (horrible film). So, still hesitant though it's hard for me to simply turn down a movie just because of public opinion. The newer previews really made this film look at least decent.

Saw it w/the girlfriend earlier today, really enjoyed it. Had second thoughts about seeing it in 3D before it started, but it was pretty well-done. She's not into sci-fi or superhero movies, but halfway through she whispers to me "I'm really liking this movie". I thought I'd be busy explaining characters but she followed along on her own - well, until the end, where I had a problem explaining the end movie scene (as an ex-comic book geek, I knew what was going on of course). Excellent performances all around/very good casting; Helmsworth was perfect as Thor.

Avengers will be amazing.

Saw this movie on Saturday nite with the girlfriend.

Really didnt know much going in as I am not a huge Thor fan but went in with an open mind.

Overall, I thought the movie was horrible. I wanted to walk out and didnt in hopes that things would get better, but they didnt.

How this movie appeals to anyone older that a young teenager is beyond me, I thought this movie was awful on so many levels.

Honestly, not trying to troll, but this review is pretty much 99% how I feel, and said much better than I could:

When you go see a movie like this you have to take in the kid's mind, not an adult's mind. Unless you believe in super heroes, it is going to be fake. Also the things Batman do are fake too, sorry to ruin your reality.

. But it is a super heroe movie. The things that were great were the acting and the special effects and the plot. But if you are going to think you are going to be blown away with a movie that is real or something that can happen in real life then a super hero movie is probably not for you.
