I have a feeling they're going to ruin it. Not seeing how a sequel would work for this film.

Not sure why a sequel wouldn't work for this film.

While yes the film was based on a feeling, the plot was mostly a comedy mystery trying to uncover the truth of the previous night.

The point: It wasn't about Las Vegas or having a hangover; it was about three friends trying to find out what they did the night before.

A sequel will easily just extend on this, making certain plot points in the first film deeper - such as the stripper bride. There is still so much these guys could have affected without even knowing it.

This film has all the right elements to survive as a sequel.
"It may well be that we spectators, who are not divinely gifted as athletes, are the only ones able to truly see, articulate and animate the experience of the gift we are denied. And that those who receive and act out the gift of athletic genius must, perforce, be blind and dumb about it -- and not because blindness and dumbness are the price of the gift, but because they are its essence." - David Foster Wallace

"You'll not find more penny-wise/pound-foolish behavior than in Major League Baseball." - Rob Neyer

I was very intrigued by the Vegas aspect myself.

I bet it involves a trip on a boat.

I agree. That definitely upped the ante and allowed for more out-of-this-world problems.

I doubt a sequel will be as good as the first film, but that doesn't mean it won't work. The characters are known now. You don't necessarily need them to be in Las Vegas to place them in interesting situations. They will make it happen wherever they go.

I just hope they avoid having them go to Europe (that's cheesy) or New York City (that's really cheesy). Keep them somewhere in the West Coast, maybe a town in Nevada or someplace out in Cali, and let the hysterics begin.

edit: Oh, and if they somehow make this about the three guys crashing the Honeymoon, this movie is getting less than 30% on Rotten Tomatoes. Quote me.

Thought the first was extremely overrated and tried too hard. It was kinda funny but I don't remember laughing out loud more than a couple times.

probably won't be as good as the first, but it will definitely be interesting to see what happens to them after the vegas trip

Am I missing something or am I the only person who didn't think the 1st wasn't that great? I think the funniest part was probably baby Carlos 'jerking off' while the rest was just entertaining enough to not make you leave the theatre.

No, many, many people didn't think the movie wasn't good.

Exactly. Crazily overrated. Could care less about a sequel. I'll see it when a friend buys it on DVD.

Hopefully, this doesn't fall the way most sequels do. Maybe it will be what Meet the Fockers was to Meet the Parents!

I agree with this. There were certain things that I kinda was like haha but they were usually either already shown in the trailer or it was just random and unexpected.

EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.
