Community is epic. You just have to give it a chance.

And I won't be sad to see him go. I hope they make it like community where every character gets an equal showing. I am tired of 90% of the show being about Michael

Parks & Rec really picked up steam after the first season and has become pretty solid.

As for The Office, I think the show was losing steam once Jim & Pam got married because it took away a major ongoing cog in the series and then, in turn, the show became about mini-romances between office workers and it just got to be too much (Dwight & Angela, Angela & Andy, Andy & Erin, Daryll & Kelly, Ryan & Kelly, etc). The show is still pretty funny though. The main reason I see this working is that the show works like any real office setting: people come and go, so Michael leaving would work out just fine so long as they bring in another new manager or other form of tension within the office itself.

Even still, The Office is on borrowed time and most great sitcoms don't stay in the lime-light or on top for more than 6-8 seasons.

The show won't be the same without Michael. You can't just replace one of the biggest characters on the show. Just won't work. I mean, it's Michael Scott!

It will be weird not seeing him on there anymore, but I know longer look forward to Thursdays. The office just isn't the same anymore.

This was known months ago...

Carrel did say he doesn't want the show to end if he leaves.

However, I'm not convinced he's leaving. The biggest TV site who has all the inside info, said it could be him just negotiating to get a big contract.

This show though, would be done without him. He is a boss. Pun intended.

This can only help the show. Michael became stale after awhile; nobody can be that dumb.

I feel the same about Micheal's character. I wouldn't mind if that put Darryl in charge.

I watched Community and Parks & Recreation and thought both were boring. Maybe they've gotten better though, I watched them right when they started.

I gave Community a try and after 4-6 episodes I just couldn't get into Saved By The Bell 2.0

As for Parks... I watched Season 1 despite my dislike of Amy Poehler. All I can say is no-one can be that dumb (save Micheal Scott). I haven't watched any of Season 2 but, I've heard that it's pretty good.

Yeah, Parks and 30 Rock were my favorite shows in the block from this season... Community has a strange campyness that I can't totally get down with, but it's still funny. I still like The Office too, and I think that a change might actually refresh the show because they still have good writing and a great ensemble cast that could run without Steve Carell. Honestly the possible Holly return is paving a nice exit for Michael...

The wedding episode of Jam was the high point of the series. The show has gone downhill ever since. The show should end after Carrell leaves but I know NBC won't do it because of the ratings.

The producers dropped the ball by ending the Michael Scott Paper company storyline so soon.

I thought that episode was wildly disappointing. Did we really need Andy and his groin issues? And the whole "small ceremony first so the big one doesn't matter" thing had been done a few years earlier by How I Met Your Mother.

I say kill it when Carell leaves. It hasn't been the same since season 3, and it hasn't been really good since season 4. I still watch it every week, but I find myself yearning for what once was. I say we have one big advertised final season and go out with a bang.

The Office hasn't been funny for a while now, and has been getting progressively worse IMO. I'd rather they just end the show after next season, as I can only imagine how bad it will be with Carrell gone.

I don't think it really has gone down hill. Sure towards the end of the season, but season 5 was my favorite of them all. Plus, they set up season 7 soooo good.

Still love the show. But it does seem like they have been running out of ideas. I don't think this is necessarily that bad. Michael is funny and obviously a huge part of the show, but sometimes he's so over the top that it's just stupid. I think the interactions between the rest of the Office is what really makes the show great, more than Michael. I think they can find a way to replace him.

I quit watching after the horrible clip show.

The show was already slipping, and that was the end for me. I hate when shows stay around too long, but NBC probably lacks a show that can fill in.
