I bust up laughing at the comedy sets in the show, I don't know. They're often my favorite part of the thirty minutes, lol.

      Re: Louie

This past week's episode had me rolling.

Artie Lang jumping out of the truck, after the chubby kid pushed the stroller into the street.

Robin Williams and Louie at the strip club.

The whole raw hamburger meat in a bowl. Followed by that pain in the *** going diarrhea in the bathtub.

JB Smooth at the end talking to the African guy.

"Since you don't understand what the **** I'm talking about. I gotta go to the adult learning center to learn African, so I can come back to work, and be able to tell you that I don't wanna hear that African ****." LMAO

          Uncharacteristically so, but I agree...

I think he was shooting for "existential" and hit "filler"...

Oh well, I'd rather a "swing and a miss" than more formulaic TV...

          Right?

              Re: Louie

It was very hit or miss for me. I loved the uncle bit but hated the end with the father bit. Both of the smaller stories with the store and the poker table were okay but nothing spectacular or memorable.

The show tries too hard to be unique and weird sometimes.

Last night's episode is one of my OVR favorites to date...

Garry Marshall was stellar, the dialog that was written for him was equally impressive and the kid that plays Louie's manager is always a welcome addition...

His solo sequence at the end was interesting, to say the least...

Appeared as though he was doing an acting exercise in transitioning from a variety of expressions / emotions in a uber subtle way...

                  Home Run, IMHO...

The Tonight Show trilogy was awesome. Reminded me why I love this show as much as I do.

I couldn't STAND the last story arc.

Made me rethink my commitment to the show actually. There better be a damn good finale or I might just be done.

Thirteen episodes or whatever it is per season is just too damn little waste on subpar episodes.

I dont think Season 3 is on par with Season 2 but it hlds up to season 1. The Letterman arc was brilliant. So was the episode with Liz and the one with Robin Williams. The finale was decent too.

I disagree. Call me crazy but I think a show should either have a point or be funny, better yet be both.

Oh, and the one with the fat kid taking a **** in the tub lol

Louie shouldnt be seen as a series like a typical comedy. It should be seen as a collection of short stories. I'd argue that every episode has a point. I'd also argue that there are plenty of funny episodes in this series. ****, there are plenty of funny episodes in Season 3.
