Re: The Return of Beavis and Butt-Head
When will MTV stop calling itself MTV? They have very little to do with music, at least from what I see on the DirecTV guide. It's all reality shows and maybe a 2-3 hour block of videos that are shown when everyone is either asleep or getting ready for work.
I loved Beavis & Butthead back in the day. Not sure about the re-launch, but I'll probably check out an episode or two to see how it goes.Currently Playing:

Re: The Return of Beavis and Butt-Head
As a Winger fan, I always hated the flack the band got over Stewart wearing the T-shirt. Sure Winger was an 80's "hair band" but if you dig deep, even back then, they were playing some real strong, technical stuff. Their latest CD is solid and Kip's solo stuff is really a nice departure from his group work.Currently Playing:

Bringing back Beavis and Butthead would quintuple the amount of music that network shows in a given week.Comment

Re: The Return of Beavis and Butt-Head
i thought that the show was awful when it was on the first time, and I was in my mid to late teens back then - the show's target audience. My college roommate LOVED the show, so I sat through just about all of the episodes and couldnt stand it. Complete crap.Anyone who claims to be a fan of two teams in the same pro sport is actually a fan of none.Comment

Re: The Return of Beavis and Butt-Head
Exactly. For me, that's easily the best part of the original show. I hope they don't stick to just the poppy/rap stuff that dominates "M"TV today. I remember they used to bust out some crazy, more obscure stuff like Ween, Gwar, and Henry Rollins Band back in the day.Comment

Re: The Return of Beavis and Butt-Head
It's cool. I ripped on them like most when this show first came out, thinking they were just another "cookie cutter" band. But, I happened to catch them at a live show about 8 years ago (I think they were with Poison and Cinderella) and blew me away. They played a lot of stuff that was not at all like what they sounded like in the 80's -- which is enjoyable to listen to but also a bit cheesy -- and had a harder edge to the music, which I appreciated.
It's nice to see a band change things up, but they'll forever be known as a hair band. But, I guess that at least gave them a platform to continue to make music 20 something years later.Currently Playing:

Re: The Return of Beavis and Butt-Head

Confirming reports that first surfaced last summer, MTV announced today that Beavis and Butt-head is returning with new episodes. Mike Judge is back as the main creative force, and of course, the voice of the title characters, who were last seen in a cameo in Jackass 3D.
EW.com reports that MTV made the announcement at their Upfront presentation in New York today. The network hasn't revealed yet when the new episodes will debut.
Assuming the format of the show remains the same as it was in the 90s, Beavis and Butt-head marks a very special event: A show in MTV's current lineup that will include music videos!Originally posted by bradtxmaleI like 6 inches.
