Was just talking about this. I think the last thing I watched on MTV besides the occasional Celebrity Deathmatch was Sifl & Olly.

I just hope they don't change the show formula like Ren & Stimpy did with that adult show.

I can't remember the last time I watched anything on MTV.

For me, it was the last time B&B were on......circa 1994-ish.

Before that, it was back in the 80's when they actually played music videos.

I find it funny they even bother to still have the VMA's.........how do vids win if nobody's seen them?

I hope they stick more to riffing on reality shows like that Jersey Shore clip. They certainly have a lot of material.

That's the one big bugaboo there btw there are still music videos made and aired though not on MTV i'm sure. There's an extension of MuchMusic here in Canada called MuchMoreMusic and they air new/recent videos so they're there just not ubiquitous like they were back in the day.

Besides, I think B&B-H will riff on the reality shows more than music videos this time around.

MTV has just moved the playing of music videos to a higher cable tier and split it into more specialized channels. So no, the flagship MTV channel does not play many videos, but the MTV name is on some channels that still play videos.
