Eventually Game will post...listen to him.

I bought a 1080P Panasonic Plasma and so far am thrilled with the results. I play my video game usually about an hour a day, along with watching numerous sport events and haven't had an issue. (Bought @ T'giving last year).

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

      Thanks man.

To the OP, the Sharp Aquos line of LCDs are very good. I always liked them when I worked in electronics at Sears a few years ago.

As to gaming lag, I'd assume it's negligible. I looked for online reviews or more specs--didn't find any. As long as this is a relatively new LCD you should be fine.

As for should you spend more for 120Hz, I'd say yes considering the size you're buying. Motion lag isn't an issue with plasmas, but it is with LCDs. I wouldn't spend even more money for 240Hz though.

      Good luck.

Don't read into this too much, I'm not trying to start any arguments, but for gaming you simply cannot beat a plasma. Good luck.

I'm a plasma fan as well, and recommend it unless you have lighting issues (too much and can't control it). Many people still prefer LCDs, so I just answer the question that's asked.

I'm also looking for a TV. I am looking for something in the 27''-33'' range but I really am on a tight budget. Any recommendations? I don't necessarily need the top of the line stuff - my biggest concern is reliability at a good price.

How tight is tight? LCDs rarely come in 27"...goes 26" to 32".

Amazon.com has Samsung, LG, and Toshiba 32" 720p LCDs for a little under $400. Free shipping and no taxes (in most states). IMO, go with a Samsung.

Dropping down to a 26" model in the name brands might save you $40-50 max.

I had only really seen 28'' and 32'' models which is why I threw on the extra inch... just in case! I'm checking on Amazon right now. Do brand such as Samsung and LG have variations within sizes? For example, does Samsung make different 32'' 720p LCD TVs?

EDIT: I see that they do... I'm now wondering what the primary differences would be between, for example, the Samsung LN32C450 and the LN32C350.

In most cases you want to go with the higher number...almost always indicates what year it was produced. Ex. C450 is going to be the newer version of the C350

That's what I guessed. I'm really taking a strong look at this one. Is it lacking technically in any area that you can notice? Solid for gaming? It is selling now for $400.

That would be my choice. Especially considering you are getting 3 HDMI, PC and USB inputs.

I'm also considering this Sharp model and this LG one which are all similarly priced as the Samsung one in my last post. (The LG is $398, I know it won't show you unless you add to the cart.) Any recommendations?

The Sharp has a $25 shipping charge, just so you know.

The LG has a 4ms refresh rate, which is better than the 6ms refresh rate on the Sammy and Sharp. The LG also has better speakers (14W vs. 10W) if you aren't using a surround sound system. The Samsung gives you USB input (which is important if you have an external hard drive or big thumb drive) but the LG gives you a headphones jack (which is nice if you have roommates you don't want to disturb). The Sammy also allows the tv remote to control anything using HDMI. Samsung LCDs generally give a better picture.

Tough call. On paper, the LG is technically the better tv. Both are 2010 models so I would go to a Best Buy and see them in person before making a final decision.
