I think she became funny in the episode right before the xmas one (the one with her life insurance theory) and it's because they finally figured out that the naive girl routine only had so many jokes and that most of them were already used up. I love that they're going the Creed route with her by just making her totally insane.

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
I dunno I kind of agree with Burns on this one. Jim has tormented Dwight for years, but it has never been anything physical like that. I found myself feeling a uncomfortable about it, although I loved the last scene, so I dunno haha.Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
I think the Jim/Dwight thing was the reason I loved the episode so much. I've started liking Jim less and less once he started dating Pam, and so that might have something to do with it.My football alliances: E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles AND Hokie Hokie Hokie HiComment

Jim has never done anything malicious like that though. It's like someone loosening the salt shaker top so you stab them in the eye with a fork. It was just way over the top to me.Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
But isn't that Dwight's whole persona. That's the reason that he can be pranked so easily by Jim, because he's so over the top. If Jim had done this prank to Dwight, I would have hated it and thought the same as you, but because it was the first prank that worked for Dwight towards Jim, I thought it was great. My football alliances: E-A-G-L-E-S Eagles AND Hokie Hokie Hokie HiComment

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
I can't help but think the snowball fight went beyond "prank". Someone said it was uncomfortable, and I completely agree. It didn't even find the end funny, just sad. That isn't what I want from The Office. I want to see Dwight get on top, but then lose it eventually.
In the last episode, he showed compassion and in this episode, he was as ruthless as always. Not witty inconsistency, but just poor inconsistency.
Plus, we've seen Jim get in trouble with pranks before, such as wearing the tuxedo when Charles was there. Jim was embarrassed and it was funny, but when he got in trouble this episode for the snowball, not funny. Due to the physical nature of it all.
Oh well. Still a very funny episode.Comment
