Doesn't matter. That first scene was huge foreshadowing. They just put that last dialogue in for ****s and giggles? That email doesn't mean anything to me. I remember Gervais saying he had no problem with his weight and he would never go on a diet. He would just buy bigger clothes. Look at him now.

That scene was just more foreshadowing that Michael might be gone for the people that aren't actually aware and to slowly get the ball rolling on that. They've been dropping a lot of hints about Daryll now imo in recent episodes the latest one being him giving Andy the right advice regarding Dwight wanting back in.Saints, LSU, Seminoles, Pelicans, Marlins, LightningComment

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
Anything's possible. But if they wanted the surprise new boss to be none other than David Brent played by none other than Ricky Gervais, why would they foreshadow it? That bomb would be one of the biggest shocks in TV history. It's possible but it's 100-1.Doesn't matter. That first scene was huge foreshadowing. I agree that it's a huge long shot. I really want it to happen though, so I'm thinking of telling myself that it really may.Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
I really, really hope not.
Toby could be kind of fun just for the few episodes at the end where Michael finds out who's replacing him. Not sure how it'd work after that.
I don't know why, but I can't shake this feeling that it'll be Ryan. I know there's no way that'd work logistically, unless Sabre doesn't know about his past experiences as an executive or something.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Which is something that would actually make it work if done right imo, but he's had his time I don't think it'll be him. Jim has been manager, Pam is a possibility just because noone in the office would have thought the former receptionist could a manager with in a year or 2, Kelly is another possibility I guess.I really, really hope not.

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
Pam would seemingly be a disaster as boss, but she might be the most interesting choice among the current cast. My top three choices:Which is something that would actually make it work if done right imo, but he's had his time I don't think it'll be him. Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
If they don't bring in Rhys Darby and Ricky Gervais doesn't feel like sticking around, I throw my support behind bringing David Wallace back into the fold.
What's Idris Elba doing these days? Charles Miner, the dude who hates Jim and who all the women in the office want, that could be fun for a season as well.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
David Wallace's foil was exclusively Michael though.
Gabe might be an interesting choice, he's naive, a pushover and someone you can be all for having people treat him like **** making him look like a fool.
I'm not sure how you can get a guy who acts like Michael Scott and have it not feel like they are just trying to (cheaply) shuffle someone else in the role.Comment

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
I completely agree with the bolded part. To me Micheal is irreplaceable and if they try to get someone that "acts' like him it's going to be bad. That's part of the reason that I couldn't get into Parks and Recreation. Amy Poehler felt like a cheap knockoff of Micheal Scott to me. I have heard that the show got much better but, my disdain for Poehler and her character kept me away.David Wallace's foil was exclusively Michael though.

As for the rest of your post, I don't think Gabe could pull it off. It may be funny for an episode or two but, I think it would get old fast. If they are going to be promoting a current cast member I'd rather she Darryl or Andy as the boss.My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: *** The Office: Season 7 ***
Ricky Gervais could pull that off. In the original series he is sort of like Scott, but still different. And very funny.Comment
