I haven't heard new BMTH but wanted to toss my 2 cents about old stuff, when they took it down a notch it was cool, but when my favorite album is the "Cut Up"... (ok, this is bizarre, as I'm typing this "Diamonds Aren't Forever (I Haunt Wizards)" from that exact album just came on my shuffle list, that's trippy, I don't even remember my point, my brain just exploded


edit: OK, I think the point I was going for was that the remix of their album was better than the actual album, and other bands that take it down a notch like Eighteen Visions did way back in the day when they came out with Vanity ended putting out the best music they've ever made.

I just discovered last week that Mystic Prophecy released an album last year. For me this band is the definition of pure metal.

Yesterday I literally finished an 6 day plus (total time) salsa album playlist and it only took me...2 years and a half to get through it

Was a slug at times (can you tell?), but I feel satisfied with the "keepers" that came out of it.

Just created my next album playlist, it is a pop/rock list (From ABBA, to the whole Floyd studio collection 'till The Final Cut, to a much of Spanish singing artist you have never heard for).

It is 8 days plus long and hopefully it takes me less than 2.5 years to get through it :P

Will probably start listening this list in a week or two.

Well, I guess I should clarify that it took me 2.5 years to listen to all the albums, then listening to all the songs I wanted to listen a 2nd time, then a 3rd time and so on and so forth :P

So, Korea has this reality competition called Superband. It's a talent competition kind of like American Idol (interestingly all of the songs that I have heard have been in english). The unique thing about it though is that instead of just taking complete amateurs, everyone that they bring in is already an indie artist of some kind, and the performers all get thrown together to form full bands.

I learned the above after this video hit my home page a few months ago, and this girl Kim Yeji is just wow...power, range, rasp, and stage presence. (I believe all of the people on stage formed the band Kardi shortly after this performance). Also love the string instrument.

Based on Slickdtc's recommendation of Bring Me The Horizon found Kingslayer live in Japan with Babymetal. Damn that rocked.

Had no idea there was an American Psycho comic series and that it had a soundtrack, but this Billy Idol cover is great imho. Carpenter Brut makes good stuff and Kristoffer Rygg is on vocals.

I was really upset when I missed the Sabaton concert here a few months ago. So in their honor and with respect to the recent thread about history buffs.

Absolutely love how they tell these stories about events throughout history. Many of them are not well known. Like this first one in Soldier of Heaven.
