Gilbert Gottfried just isn't really funny. Plus I don't like his delivery, so it was just a dumb part of the show...He took jokes way too long past their funny point. It's different than Family Guy, where they take a joke way too long but it's funnier because they do that. When Gilbert does it it's less funny.

Overall it was a funny roast, though the jokes about Pam Anderson's large vagina got old fast...those weren't really that funny IMO, there are other things about her you can make fun of that are more deserved.
