Re: Rate this TV.
120 hz vs 60hz.........not much of a big deal unless you watch a ton of Blu-rays.
Like I said that LG is $200 off......that is a steal. Vizio is normal price. You can always find a Vizio for that price, however you can't always find a LG for $200 off, that brand, like Samsung rarely go on sale. They only go on sale maybe 2 or 3 times a year. And normally it is $50 off, but you got one for $200 off. Grab it while you can.Comment

So for gaming and watching sports the 60-120 will not be a difference?
Honestly the LG looks better to me.
At my local Wal Mart they have these two right next to each other and the 60hz LG looks clearer then the 120HZ Vizio.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: Rate this TV.
For me it isn't much of a difference. I am still kicking my self to this day for passing on a 47 inch LG tv that was $798 that Best Buy had on sale back in March, it was $200 off from the normal price of $998. Instead I took too long to get to the store, thinking that tv will always be there.
I came in the 2nd day after I seen the ad in paper and all of them were sold out. And the manager told me that was one of those until the backroom run out type of sales.
I was like damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. Did they get that tv back in ? Yeah after the sale ended and it was back at normal price for $998.Comment

Re: Rate this TV.
You can't go wrong with either TV. Many people don't know this but VIZIO get's their panels from LG. What you need to ask yourself is 120hz a feature you want, or are you comfortable with 60hz.Comment

Re: Rate this TV.
You have to remember what Gotmadskillzson says about Walmart might be influenced because of his many personal feelings about working there.
I would go with the Vizio, I would get the 120hz.
For the Vizio motion settings, you can save them per source. So when you change the source from TV to Bluray input, the settings will be remembered. So you can set it on for 1 input and off for another.Comment

Re: Rate this TV.
Telling ya boy, working there in a major city will scar you for the rest of your life. That was the worst retail job or job period I ever had.
On the other hand though, it taught me how shady Walmart be too when it comes to their stuff. Like taking back a return tv that somebody had in their house for 60 days, taping the box back up and put up in the bin selling it as "BRAND NEW", without even sending it off to get serviced 1st at least.
They do the same thing with their contract cell phones, ipods, cameras, house phones, laptops, etc. They will tape that thing back up and put it right back on the shelf as brand new.
Been years since I worked at Walmart, but ever since then I check my stuff out more thoroughly now making sure it hadn't been re-taped every time I go to a store.
And lordyyyyyyyyy.......if people knew how much stores mark up those tvs and everything else in the store, your head would roll.Comment

Its funny this LG Tv was selling for $999 almost everywhere.
Wal-Mart marked it down to $778 this week and now Best Buy has marked it down to $779.99 and HH Gregg has marked it down to $799.97.
Now you guys have me scared to get it a my local Wal-Mart!!! lol
The thing is I am getting a Wal-Mart credit card to buy this TV. 0 interest if I pay it off in 12 months which I will is the only reason I am getting the Wal-Mart card.
I should get the card either today or tomorrow, as soon as I get it its off to Wally World to get the TV.ND Season Ticket Holder since '72.Comment

Re: Rate this TV.
Ehhhhhh I hate Vizio, especially the models that Walmart get. I rather get a Samsung or LG. It will cost a little more, but is better built and will last way longer then a Vizio could ever dream of lasting.
FYI.......when you buy tv's from Walmart, make sure you examine that box. Walmart is famous for re-taping up returned tv's and selling them as BRAND NEW.Comment

Re: Rate this TV.
I dont have a blue ray player and dont plan on getting one so I dont think the 120hz will matter to me. I am telling you side by side the 60hz LG tv has a much clearer/crisper picture than the 120hz Vizio.

Re: Rate this TV.
I work for Wal Mart and the only time we ever put used TV's in the box is after a customer buys it. If one is put in thebox used it is marked down accordingly. That said, Vizio is generally one of the top tv's in cosumer reports, so they are obviously good tv's. Samsung are the best generally though.
You so much had a better store and regional manager then what I had in the midwest. The only tv's at the store I worked at they marked down was display tv's and that was only 10% off. You got no box, instead they just wrapped it up in plastic wrap and sent you on your way.Comment

Re: Rate this TV.
120ghz is the way to go you will notice watching HD TV and sports and the Vizio looks better in my room than at the store. I always laugh at people that base decision on settings that the store uses and all the damn light they have in there.Comment
