    Poltergeist

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/tsoycXkGzCE?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/tsoycXkGzCE?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

    Amityville Horror

    <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/9fSqS0MrOZ0?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/9fSqS0MrOZ0?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

The Amytiville Horror really scared me when I was little. I actually saw the movie before seeing the book in a small drawer in my house. My mother had the book and it had the flies sketched on it. It scared the hell out of me.

There is another movie, The Exorcist, that I can't even think about. I'm not posting the trailer either because it's just so disturbing to me. I can't say there is a more horrifying movie.
Being kind, one to another, never disappoints.

Re: Horror/Sci-Fi movies you must see.

the Exorcist is something else, telling you now, that movie ain't for the weak minded that is for sure.

That movie was so powerful and terrified so many, that many churches banned clergy and church members from watching that movie unless their mind and spirit was solid as a rock. And if you were pregnant, you were banned from the theatre in some neighborhoods in Chicago when that movie came out.

No lie........churches were terrified unborn babies would get possessed. Why I even think they banned all kids from under 12 from seeing it too, even if they were with an adult.

Re: Horror/Sci-Fi movies you must see.

There's a lot of classics out there.

            I liked Moon a lot.

            <object width="1280" height="745"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/twuScTcDP_Q?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;hd=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/twuScTcDP_Q?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="1280" height="745"></embed></object>

Then, of course, 2001: A Space Odyssey.

            <object width="1280" height="745"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/uU4TQ1NTo50?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;hd=1"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/uU4TQ1NTo50?fs=1&amp;hl=en_US&amp;hd=1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="1280" height="745"></embed></object>

There's more, but at this (very) late hour, I'm struggling to come up with any.
Coaching Legacy of James Frizzell (CH 2K8)
            Yale Bulldogs (NCAA Football 07)
Coaching Legacy of Lee Williamson (CH 2K8)

I never knew that but can understand. I was terrified that I would be laying in bed and get possessed.

The churches in Chicago has always been very vocal and when it comes to movies that they feel members of their church shouldn't be watching, they come out in force with rallies and stuff.

I know my parents don't allow any of those kind of movies in their house at all.

Thanks for recommending "Moon". I just watched that a few days ago and it was a very good movie IMO.

"Date Night" Entertaining. Not a big Tina Fey fan from her SNL days, but she presented more palatable in this. Carrell is just Carrell. He can handle both big and small screens.
"Date Night," huh? Does that fall under horror, or Sci-Fi?

Horror is right. That's one movie I did not enjoy.

The Exorcist was(is) one heck of a film in the scare department. I saw it in the theater with a girl I was seeing at the time(it had to be some sort of re-release, I was only 8 or so when it first came out) and I came out with fingernail marks all over my arms and neck from her clutching me.
                          Hey...I kinda liked that!

I still love the original Halloween...and don't forget Dawn of the Dead!

One other film I remember that I couldn't find a trailer to is Faces of Death. Apparently there is a site for it because it is being released on Blu-Ray. Faces of Death did not have a plot but rather was a compilation of various deathly scenarios (some real some fake)...

I watched The Fourth Kind over the weekend, and I'd seen it before but I was really messed up and tired haha so I forgot most of it. Man, this movie is scary. This kind of stuff normally wouldn't get to me but the actual footage that they put in this is very hard to dismiss and is very disturbing. Coupled with the actual interview of the psychologist that the story is based on, this movie had me thinking and really creeps me out. Well done, but scary as ****.

lol, the "real" footage has been proven as false. The town and psychiatric community had never heard of the doctor(mila) prior to the movie
