Sports Business Journal reporting Via Twitter

Sources: The broadband service ESPN3 is likely to be part of any Disney-Time Warner Cable deal. SBD will have details tomorrow.

Sources: Almost no chance Time Warner Cable will drop ABC/ESPN this week. Agreement in principle is close. SBD will have story tomorrow.

Can we go ahead and get NFL Network as well.

Maybe I'm out of the loop but why would it be a big deal with ESPN3?

You get to see events that you normally would not see, like College Football or College Basketball games that are shown only on ESPN3 or the local markets.

So will those events just be online streaming or an actual channel?

Awesome. I read they had a deal/were close to a deal, but didn't see that it was going to inculde ESPN3. Hopefully they get this done quickly. This will get a ton of use once CBB starts.

Get ready for the price to skyrocket.

My bill went from $120 (bundle deal...digital phone/HD TV/Roadrunner) to $150 so I went to Dish after the contract ended last month.

It's hard though...especially when I got my neighbor playing their franchise across the street...maybe I will occupy myself with Glamore Magazine.

This is good news regarding having additional sports programming options...it seemed like TWC/BHN was the last big cable company that didn't have ESPN3. All these public negotiations are hogwash anyways...ultimately, the subscribers get the raw end of the deal b/c prices always go up after these new "deals." If my bill is going up, I would at least like to have more options/choices that I will use and this agreement does that. Hopefully this will pave the way for a potential deal with NFL network.

ESPN3.com still won't work on my Time Warner.

                      What's taking them so long?
