Re: Creepy Alien Stories
There is the possibility that extraterrestrial life exists and I think we should always consider that. However, I find it interesting that we always consider or interpret that life as being more advanced than us. Yes, if they have the ability to visit us and then fly off with little effort, they must have more advanced technology, but here's a question I have. Suppose these visitors do in fact visit and our government knows of it. If the government is covering things up, why don't the aliens simply make a statement? Why not hover over one spot for a good enough amount of time that it gets enough exposure that we indeed have proof?
In other words, make yourself known and quit riding the winds of speculation and superstition. The worst belief systems are established in speculation and superstition. There's no real poof yet we want to believe so we maintain that belief.
EDIT: and I'm with you I think about the alien races who are intelligent but are stuck in the bronze age or w.e., its just advanced life is more relatable as they are here where as the other life isnt.
yeah sorry about that 31, but it is interesting as the best explanation seems to be alien life. And his theory of it being our own waves bouncing off space debris from that far seemed a stretch to begin with, so once that was disproven he becomes skeptical and claims not answer can realistically be determined to this problem.
If i'm not mistaken his first thought was alien too, was it not?Comment

for those who don't know there's more eyewitness accounts from high official who worked on nuclear bases, look here: http://www.operationsports.com/forum...onnel-say.html
please don't get this one closed, infact its better if you guys dont talk about the issue as it's too controversial.
I think cusefan brought up the WOW! signal, researched it, wow, the guy who found it doesn't even know what to make of it.
Don't know what to make of this but supposedly we will know the truth on october 13th according to ex NORAD official:http://www.unexplainable.net/UFO-Ali...ber-13th.shtml
Sounds like he's writing a book and trying a make a dollar but it's interesting nonetheless and brings about a good question, how will our world change if such an event occurs.

And, I'm talking about the original movie filmed in 1951, not the remake from a couple years ago.Comment

I hope they go door to door introducing themselves and offering delicious cookie treats for reasonable prices. I'm tired of annoying girl scouts and high priced cookie treats.
I'll believe this October 13th crap when I see it. I don't dispute alien existence, but for them to set a date where they're gonna be like "oh hey here we are," I ain't buying it.NFL: Green Bay Packers

I'm pretty skeptical when it comes to this stuff. People make Alien contact predictions every year, there's no reason to believe this one.Comment

IF we ever encounter aliens on Earth, I believe they will come on their terms and we will have no clue what date it is.Last edited by Buckeyes_Doc; 09-29-2010, 09:22 AM.Ohio State - Reds - Bengals - Blackhawks - BullsComment

Re: Creepy Alien Stories
I am very open minded on this subject and as I get older I seem to get more cynical about all the stuff we are told by TPTB. As far as Oct. 13th goes...as soon as I saw carbon emissions mentioned as the chief reason for disclosure, the rest of the article kinda just went up in smoke for me.
On a serious note, I do find it curious that it seems like every other day something is coming out in the MSM pertaining to ET's in some form or another. Almost like we are being conditioned for some type of "official announcement".
A couple of others have mentioned C2C(coast to coast) as an interesting radio show about this type of stuff, another is The Veritas Show. The host has a lot of really interesting people on and does a great job. Check it out if you get a chance!Don't blame me for what those nitwits said...They don't speak for me!!!Comment

Re: Creepy Alien Stories
One theory that I found interesting is that we're the Aliens. I don't buy into it, but its intersting none the less.
Say 25 humans who were really aliens somehow crashed here 10,000 years ago. They found some crazy wormhole that hasn't been rediscovered yet by a world 1,000,000 light years away.
So they crash and they have all of this knowledge on how to fly, how to build things with math, etc, but they don't know how to extract the necessary resources to really do anything. 2 generations later, all that knowledge is basically lost.
Imagine if the world was whiped out just back down to its natural resources all buildings, tools, etc were gone and 100 modern day Americans were all that were left. How long do you think it be before we had television again? It would most likely take thousands of years if at all. Some things that we take for granted would never be reinvented.Chalepa Ta Kala.....Comment

Re: Creepy Alien Stories
Here's something pretty neat, after reading in the news recently about the government officials coming forward about UFO sightings over nuclear test sites, I felt like checking out a few alien encounter stories. I came across this story that some people view as a hoax, while others believe. It's definitely up for debate, but one portion of this story gave me shivers:
Source: http://www.skygaze.com/content/stran..._Warning.shtml
"Be still now and listen, for your chance may not come again. For many years your scientists, governments and generals have not heeded our warnings; they have continued to experiment with the evil forces of what you call nuclear energy. Atomic bombs can destroy the earth, and the beings of your sister worlds, in a moment. The wastes from atomic power systems will poison your planet for many thousands of your years to comeComment
