      Re: Conan

The best thing about Conan going off the air for me was discovering how awesome Craig Ferguson is. Unfortunately, with my new job I can rarely stay up late enough for him.

I'm excited about Conaw. Do we have an official timeslot? I'm sure I could Google it, but I'm feeling lazy.

Never really got to watch Conan much because he came on so late (I really don't know how people on the East coast watched him) but I plan on it when he comes back.

                    Why no Max?

                        Re: Conan

Not really a reason why here but it's got a statement from Conan and Max.

Both Weinberg and Conan O’Brien have issued statements about the band leader’s departure, which they claim was “mutual.” “Max has been a huge part of my life for the past 17 years and he is an incredible band leader and musician. I hope he can find time to stop by the new show, sit in with the band, and pretend to find my monologue funny,” O’Brien said in a statement. Said Weinberg, “17 years — a lifetime on TV. Conan and I met on a New York City street corner in the Spring of 1993 and my association with Conan, his staff, and crew has been a deeply rewarding experience for me. And, making music with Jimmy Vivino, Mark Pender, La Bamba, Scott Healey, Mike Merritt, and percussionist James Wormsworth enabled me to become a better musician and bandleader. I thank them for their first-rate work on the bandstand. I wish Conan and his show the best and I do look forward to dropping by.

On the bright side, Vivino is awesome too, so I'm glad its not some random loser.

As long as La Bamba's still there, I'm good.

Its on at the same times locally on both coasts. The Tonight Show airs at 11:35 local time on the east coast and 11:35 local time on the west coast.

I do understand what your are saying though, the shows are on late. The new show will be 11:00 to 12:00 though right? Thats a little better.

Yeah sad to see Max go, but Jimmy Vivino is pretty awesome, so its not that big of a deal for me.

I'm CST I always thought when Conan came on after Leno 11:35 CST it came on at 12:35 EST time, no?

And what I should have said was I didn't watch conan much before he got the tonight show because of the 11:35 start.
