Glad I watched is live when I was considering not. Normally Marshall-Lily episodes are boring for me, but there wasn't much else on.

This wouldn't have been a good episode to read about before seeing it because there wouldn't have been such a punch. Interesting to see the countdown...I was switching back between HIMYM and House, so I missed much of the countdown (I saw numbers, but didn't put it together); but I caught on at 10.

I've been disappointed that the show has strayed from the mother arc, but this was just a great episode. Balanced the 'real-life' Marshall-Lily stuff with Barney's humor; Robin Sparkles is always good, and Ted was good as support for her...then BAM. Good stuff.

The entire pocket dial scene was incredible. I knew since he kept it playing, eventually Marshall's dad was going to say something. But damn, what he said got me.

Episode last night hit home harder than any other previously. The last words thing was big to me as I still remember the exact words, and how they were said to me, before my Dad died. So it really, really hit home.

Great episode, incredibly sad.

I saw the second half and liked it. Looking forward to watching whole episdoe tomorrow morning. Judging by only the second half, it felt more like the earlier seasons because it was funny but had a decent story with Ted.

This show is reminding me more and more of House (maybe having Cameron as Teds new love interest adds to that) but they are doing a great job of mixing the comedy and drama.

EDIT - as I typed that, it hit me, Zoey's not the mom either. Since the Mom was Rachel Bison's roomate, at that time Zoey was married to the Captain.

UGH, this show is so frustrating.

It's a show about finding out who the mother is...as soon as we find out, the show's plot has run its course.

I've never understood why people want Ted to meet the mother so bad. This show is about the journey, not the end result.

Personally, I'd feel cheated if we don't get to know the woman Ted marries and find out exactly why she's so special.

And I still to this day think it's Victoria. Victoria will have been living with Rachel Bilson after she got back from Germany, Ted will go on and on about how it's fate, they'll give it another shot and they'll live happily ever after.
