I wouldn't go that far but I will say that when not focusing on the mother, I don't like the show as much as before. All of these characters are great side characters. Barney used to be one of the best characters on tv until he got too much screen time. They just don't know what to do with Robin anymore and she's just an extra at this point. Marshall and Lily were much better when they were opposite Ted's random relationship with a long term girlfriend.

hahaha, it's because this show angers me so much sometimes. It used to be my favorite show on tv and I know how much potential it has. It's how I feel when I watch Lebron play right now, still love watching him play because he's just an amazing athlete to watch, but it angers me because he took a somewhat easy way out and we as fans lose out in the long run. I can only imagine what he would be like on the Bulls, same as with this show had it kept the momentum from the first couple years.

The problem I had was Robin & Ted got together too soon. Their relationship prior to dating was great. I would have had them be just friends until after Marshall & Lily's wedding.

I think they have backed themselves into a corner by waiting so long to reveal the mother.

I don't look at ratings but I imagine the casual viewer has gotten bored with this show (this thread used to be bumped immediately after the show was over).


I think the producers never expected this show to be as successful as it has and they have been prolonging what was there original vision as a way to keep the series going.

I think they should introduce the mother and find a way to keep the series going after that, there is no reason the show has to stop just because we know who the mother is, personally I'm getting tired of all the different "potentials".

I would rather meet the woman and see them expand on that and then other story lines...

thats always been one of the big debates for HIMYM, if the show could continue on after it introduced the mother or if introducing the mother signaled the end of the series

I still think there's a show in there after meeting the mother.

Every other character has interesting stories. Ted is the only one I consider rather boring because we know he's aimlessly searching for a wife he hasn't met but will.

I think he can meet the mother and the show can still go on to reveal how much they grow with each other. There are things in the future that we don't know outside of Ted meeting this woman.

The airport scene was a big hint that Zoey won't be with him for much longer. And I'm willing to bet the wedding where he does meet his wife is the season finale.

Ted is the worst part of this show. Everyone else is funny, Ted just seems to be a douche. I say Kill Ted off(or at least explain why his voice drastically changes to Bob Saget's voice).

Loved last nights episode the ending was really good.
Anyone else notice how much better this show is when it is not about Ted?
The whole Scooby thing was great, Marshall was cracking me up the whole show.
As much as I cant stand Ted and his story line sometimes, where was Zoey last night?
Did they even mention her? Or was this story line from a different time in their lives?

The Scooby stuff was funny. But overall meh

I thought it was a great episode. Funny throughout, and thought the end was well done with Barney.

Loved the throwbacks to the "sandwiches" and the bangity bang song.
