Terriers - FX

Has anyone watched this yet ? I just caught the first episode of the first season. It's interested me enough, to where I'm going to catch the next episode. Anyone that's seen it have any thoughts so far ?

finally finished this-didn't capture my interest for even a second episode. Too many other series on my plate (Always Sunny, SOA, Smallville, The Good Wife, Parenthood, Boardwalk Empire, etc.etc.) to spend on something that doesn't grab me immediately. Justified was an exception for me, because I liked both of the leads (Timothy Olyphant, Walter Goggins).

I thought the first episode was all right, but it was just a little "scattered".

I'll check out the second episode later down the road, but probably not when it first airs. I don't watch much TV, but I always make time for SOA.. there are very few other shows I would do that for.

This was an ok first episode, but I highly doubt I'll continue watching with so many other shows starting up soon.

I've been watching this series since the beginning, it is EASILY on my list of top shows on TV right now. I'm surprised by the lukewarm reaction by the above people, but the show has just gotten stronger and stronger.

Another FANTASTIC episode tonight.

Seriously, if you're into the private eye thing at all or just a good comedy/drama then just watch the show. It's never formulaic or the same week to week, so it's almost like watching a new show each week except you still get constants like the humor between the two lead actors.

I can't recommend the show enough.

Couldn't agree more. This show is so awesome. Great drama, great acting, and great comedy. Makes me laugh every week. Even more than sunny. Really hope fx keeps this show alive.

Don't know if anyone kept watching this, but its been on my DVR all season. Just caught the finale. Pretty solid show.

It ended up being a pretty good series, the name is horrible as was the first episode(s), but it happened to come on after The League and would play in the background after while I do other stuff until I started watching it on Wednesdays.

I'll be shocked if it gets renewed, but it ended up being good.

I don't think the first couple episodes were horrible, rather some people might have been turned off by the characters because they did some pretty messed up things at the start -- though I understood the reasons. The series really picked up steam when it got more into the longer arcs, but even the worst episodes were better than 99% of what's on TV.

Either way, a really really top-notch first season, but the marketing behind the series was so bad I don't think it's coming back (though I hope the really strong reviews make FX believe a second season with better marketing could turn things around since "crime/detective" shows really should be an easy sell all things considered. If it does get canceled, that blows as this was far and away the BEST new show this fall (at least on anything not named HBO) in an actually pretty strong fall lineup of new shows.

And the best thing I can say about the finale is that it would be a perfect way to end the series and a perfect way to begin season 2. I really don't think I've been grabbed and just enjoyed a show quite as much as this one in a long time.

The first episode was so bad, pretty much everybody I know who watched it, only maybe half made it through the whole thing and none of them (myself included) made it to episode two. More than just a little bit of that might have been the bad marketing and expecting something completely different, but the results are the same.

Yeah, I don't see how anyone who is into that type of show could not like the first episode, since it was stronger than a couple of the later ones. And again, so bad, come on. So bad is like Grown Ups.
