ooooo but do we know for sure i.e. see him getting killed, I only watched the first two and forgot most of the details.

The First saw was a good horror film but you're right, it's moved towards gore

We saw his throat get slashed, the fatal tone of the monitor he was hooked up to, and a graphic autopsy, so unless there's some really crazy twist, he's very dead.

yeah normally the throat slash wouldn't be enough to kill a man, but the graphic autopsy all but confirms it

This is on the wiki page. Not sure if it is 100% believable since we all know wiki is never wrong.

Worst part of the franchise IMO. The fact that they devote so much attention on the new, massive, creative ways to kill people rather than to get past it and work on the mystery (there is more tension than just the traps) says a lot about what people looking on the outside-in think about this series, and it's a shame.

I wish they just stuck to the trilogy or a standalone film. It would have had a lot more momentum over the years IMO.

I actually lost any desire to keep seeing these movies as 6 was such a terrible movie, so I read the wikipedia plot outline of it, spoiling them movie. Figured I'd waste 3 minutes of my life instead of 2 hours.

Not really a spoiler, but a spoiler none the less.

Re: SAW VII (3D) Discussion - Jigsaw

Yeah, I saw it. I don't mind how it ended, but it was so poorly scrapped that it didn't even feel like a Saw movie. It just recycled elements from the past ones, upped the amount of gore, and honestly was written like a HOJ fan-fiction. It was the most "rushed" out of the seven movies in terms of the writing, and the budget was absolutely wasted for no reason whatsoever.

I'm so befuddled right now. I didn't hate it and I definitely didn't love it. I'm just in shock that this was actually the final movie and in many ways it went exactly as I imagined in my head it could have gone. That doesn't mean that's how I wanted it to go, though.

This movie didn't have to exist. I would have been happier if they kept it at the original trilogy.

For sure. I didn't like any of them after the third, and just thought it was so-so.

What the hell, they're still making these movies? I think I gave up on it after the second movie. It started out interesting but they should've left it alone after the 1st or 2nd film.

I love horror flicks and zombies and gore, but this **** just got ridiculous. I'm like come on now enough with this ****, lol.

How many movies have they made, aint it like 20 movies lol. Shut it down peoples, its super corny now.

                          They've made seven.

Most people who haven't seen the movies can't make the argument "They should have stopped at (2, 4, 5, 6)." It wouldn't make sense. This series actually has a story, and those movies did not end the story. But they dumped most of it for this movie while still adding closure.

Don't worry, there aren't any more after this.

                            Thank you.

I did what EG did and just read the plot outline and like everyone else, was not shocked how it ended. I'll see this eventually, but I am in no horror atm.

They should have stopped at 1. One by itself was a masterpiece. Ever since, it got silly and stupid, and the story? LOL It's been dragged out just to keep making movies. Horror films don't need a story, it's the pure horror itself which carries it, unfortunately too many writers, directors, studios are greedy and drag it out. Ruined Nightmare on Elm Street the same way, first one is brilliant, 2 thru whatever number they ended on were all God awful.

Let's look at the Saw history. One was great. Two moved the overall story about 2 feet. Three, ugh, I don't even remember it. Four, okay, maybe this was a bad idea. Five was ridiculous, and six has to be ranked up there along with Halloween 3 in the realm of terrible horror films.

Point is, I'm glad the series is dead. Been milked for all it's worth, let it die.

The people have spoken as well, for it's debut on Friday, it only beat Paranormal Activity's numbers by 3 million, and PA2 has been out a week already. People were sick of the Saw movies after 4.

                              Good riddance.

One will always go down as one of my favorite horror movies of all time. It was an absolute masterpiece, it was original, it had everything.

I...can't say I liked any of 2-6 and have no interest in seeing this one. Saw will go down as one of my favorites, but the rest of the series will go down as an incredible disappointment to me.
