    Re: Most Disturbing Movies

Tracer you took the words out of my mouth. WTF was that?

I thought it was messed up, not to the point of 'disturbing' me (i.e. I won't have nightmares or anything) but WTF was that? Who thinks of that? And the part with the eye-socket, wtf?

      Two things:
      1) That was so damn horrible just to read. I honestly feel a little queasy.

      2) The way he killed the guy with one-eye made me chuckle, though.

As a guy who sang in a death metal band for years, some of the lyrics that my peers have written make the plot outline of A Serbian Film sound like a Disney movie.

Nothing in the world could make that movie sound like a Disney movie.

I venture none of you have taken liberty to watch the actual trailer. The one that I saw (and it was on YouTube), linking it would violate TOS. The trailer is every bit as disturbing as the Wiki plot, only when you put two-and-two together it becomes one huge "WTF" epiphany.

The only thing I was actually surprised about is, from the trailer of course, the film didn't look amateurish. Shot at 2.35:1, there must have been a decent budget behind this film. And that concerns me very much, that a movie like this got such a high budget approval.

Look up the Yugoslav War crimes. They make this movie look relatively tame only they actually happened and on a wide scale. Most notably on the sadistic side (there were the less shocking executions of entire towns and indiscriminate firing of artillery into city squares) were "rape camps" where the Serbian Army kidnapped Bosnian women and raped them until they became pregnant (in the Balkans race is carried through the father). It led the UN to redefine the term "genocide."
So they were also having sex with corpses and raping 'new born' babies? Those were some of the parts that was really disturbing.

NOW this is what makes it scary. I totally agree with you on this. To have a trailer for this movie on You Tube and to shoot this film with a professional camera makes me worry that people condone this type of stuff. And it also makes me believe that most of this stuff is happening in real life.

I read the entire page and it didn't phase me in the least. Then again, it's almost impossible to offend me as I am pretty much desensitized to stuff like that from being a member of the death metal community for so many years.

While I don't enjoy things like this, nor am I entertained by them at all, I could probably eat dinner while watching that movie if I had to and wouldn't get sick. I'm just wired different than most folks after having seen and heard the things I have. Oh well.

Plus, at the end of the day, you have to remember that it's only a movie...
