Also, 2 HDMI ports is a must.

      Holy ****, hahah.

I don't really know anything about Philips TVs (good or bad) but for that price it seems perfect.

I gave some delivery instructions prior to this stating that I would be at work during from 12:30 PM to 10:30 PM. I said someone will be home, so nothing needs to be set up with delivery - just take it to the house.

I called him back when I got off work and dude sounded drunk. He said he was driving in the snow over the pass, en route back to Seattle (which is nearly four hours away from me). I told him there were shipping instructions to which he said, "Sorry man!" WTF. He then said he could deliver tomorrow and I am half tempted to call in sick so he can't eff this up again.

When I had mine delievered, Amazon contracted out to a local delivery service (I think it was Pilot delivery). Anyway, their estimates were off, so I e-mailed and complained and got $50 off. Amazon is usually pretty good with customer service.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread

I also had Pilot deliver mine as it was classified as a "freight" delivery since my TV is a 64" plasma and therefore weighs over 100 pounds.

They gave me an estimate of between 8:00 am - 10:00 am on a particular day and even emailed me twice (including the day before) to confirm.

Not only did they show up at 8:05 am on the scheduled day, but they actually called me fifteen minutes in advance to let me know. When they showed up there were two guys in a white box truck that carried it in and everything was smooth as silk.

I think Pilot did mine too. It was scheduled to come on a Monday, but long story short I called and got them to bring it out to me on a Friday afternoon.

Yeah, Pilot delivered mine as well. I didn't call and complain or anything. I really didn't care as long as they got my TV to me by Friday, which they did. I just left my cell phone at home with my wife while I went to the work and told her to set up the delivery. TV is here now, so all is well.

I hooked it up and everything looks fine... I am having a hard time getting my PS3 to run at 1080p, though. I am noticing that the regular red, white, and yellow cords aren't working... There is no spot for the yellow. I am sure these are just old, because I can't get it to play in 1080p... So I am guessing that I am going to have to go buy a PS3 HDMI cable... Am I correct?

Yes sir! Your ps3 didn't come with composite in the interim? Hdmi is the way to go, head to monoprice, great prices.

Yes you need an HDMI cable. There is no such thing as a "ps3 hdmi cable" though, they are all the same. - http://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics-H...2512647&sr=1-3

I don't pay more than $5. Gotta love digital signals.

The people who go to Best Buy and drop upwards of a $100 on a pair. HAHAHAHAH

I felt bad watching this guy GLADLY pay $35 for a 6ft. HDMI cable at Best Buy. Thought he was getting a deal compared to the $70-80 ones.

On a side note, I love the "I paid more, so mine is better than yours" crowd. Best Buy loves them too.

I would never sell people wall mounts when I worked at Lowes and would tell them about Monoprice, but are cables were like $7 so I didn't feel to bad.

You're going to need an HDMI cable immediately. This one should do the trick:
