Yeah, steer clear of Polaroid. My parents bought one last year. Bit the dust in 2 months. Service was terrible on it.

Unfortunately they bought a Hisense to replace it. Now the have a Samsung Curved, lol.

Any projector fans in here? I just want a big *** 100+ inch display in my living room. And a projector is way cheaper than buying a 90" TV or anything close to it. Thinking about going this route; anyone have any huge objections to projectors? My dad has one and it's pretty sweet.

I don't know about specific projectors, but they are great. Best when used in conjunction with an entire HT setup, but they are bomb for sure.

Yeah agreed. My dad has one in his basement but he spent probably $4-5K on that whole setup. He's also got a Sony 75" 4K TV in his upstairs and the 4K TV definitely has better picture than the 1080P projector but going the projector route is far cheaper, so I think it's a win.

Like others have said I'd stay away from any Polaroid tv.

Apparently OLED has its own motion issues as well though. That's why I'm sticking with plasma for quite a while.
This is correct but it depends on the LED...Many of the Samsung LED have excellent motion blur software. You just need to look into the set you want before pulling the trigger.

Plasma is fantastic but outdated and has no 4K and no HDR. Also image retention is a waste of time as you have to constantly baby the tv to keep the image native.

I hated playing sports games on my Plasma because of the score bugs constantly displaying in white back boards...Real annoying so I went with LED which has faults but is superior for gaming if you buy one with excellent motion handling and little input lag

I am buying my wife a new tv... she his currently and has been gaming on her Xbox one on a 50" LG Plasma 720P...

I am getting her a 55" Vizio D series smart tv...

which got me wanting a newer bigger tv, I am currently on an Insignia 32" 1080P tv... I am looking at the 48" D series by Vizio... but there is part of me that knows how good that ps4 looks at Best buy on that Sony tv.

so, I am wondering... am I going in the right direction thinking about the Vizio... or should I go for the Sony... ???

oh also for those that play the show... does 120 refresh rate make the game look any better than 60?

I play the show daily and the most important thing you need is a tv with low input lag. That's going to make the difference between you hitting balls as soon as you swing or hit foul balls most of the times.

if you want a great gaming tv that has low input lag then go samsung..Sony tvs are awesome to but their input lag numbers are higher then Samsung

If you do not have low input lag numbers then you are not gaming well

Hey guys, I stumbled upon a few recent and old articles stated that if you TV's input mode has a PC mode to use that even over game mode. Anyone do this and has it made a big difference then game mode? Thx

Sounds like the power supply/switch. Depending upon the shop you take it into be prepared to spend between $200-$300.
