Is the KS8000 the same set as the ks8500, other than the curve? I may go for it over the similar LG suhd.

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
Basically. Since they are now the same price I figured I would try out the curve. I definitely wouldn't want to pay extra just for the curve haha. Glare from my windows was an issue for me with my old set and I was hoping the curve may help with that. Luckily it actually does! They are all JUST angled out from all my main viewing spots. Happy coincidence I guess...Comment

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
It's only day 1 for me right now, but if initial impressions are correct, this won't be the last hisense I'll buy. I'm truly blown away by this set right now. Apps are speedy, remote is good, connectivity is great.
I can't say enough about the sound. It's really a great sounding set. The picture is phenomenal. I wish there were a 2016 65" set. They have a curved, but I'm not going curved.
Will do man. I Appreciate it. I found the settings for the hdr when I was researching too. I can easily say that this is my best value purchase ever, haha.
Definitely an under the radar TV right now. Keep us posted WTF

Yeah, it's FALD, with local dimming. The 4 year warranty is gravy. Apparently the easiest way to get expedited warranty service is via Twitter. I've done a ton of research on the company and the quality of their sets. They have an 86" monster coming out next year. Spec wise, it's a beast.
I'm loving the set right now. Just a superb set.
I'm either going to pick up the 65uh7700 from LG or the ks8000 tomorrow for the living room. Haven't decided yet.Twitter - WTF_OS

Re: Plasma or LCD? - The TV Thread
I am keeping a eye on that tv right now. I have a 37 inch 720p upscales to 1080p from 2007 and I would like to upgrade to around a 50 inch 4k Tv for around a 1000 or less.
Maybe who knows and even if it is not like way off If it goes from like 1100 to 900 that would not be bad.Comment
