    Cyber-Monday Deals

If you find anything showcasing the Cyber Monday deals, throw them in this thread. I'm looking for a laptop. Thinking about the Alienware M11x for $549 like Steve posted.

"Cyber Monday" is a creation where most stores will have some form of online-only sales for the day.

I have never thought of "Cyber Monday" as having good deals. I hear people talk about it a lot but I just don`t see the deals.

GoHastings.com is offering 25% off used Blu-rays using the promotional code CYBERMON.

I'm about to cash in on 19 of them for only $83.88... but it's the shipping that kills me! It's at $43.32.

I would hit up Walmart and Best Buy websites, usually on Cyber Mondays they have great deals on laptops and tvs that they sell ONLINE ONLY anyway.

Like last year Walmart was selling a dual core 17.3 inch HP laptop for $398 on Cyber Monday. And Best Buy was a selling a 46 inch 120 HZ Samsung LCD for $650 last year on Cyber Monday, along with Quad Core PC's for $400.

Does Hastings offer any sort of "in-store pickup" option?

I have a Hastings literally 5 minutes from my house..

When they first started, it's was a great buy. Shipping was $2 on the first movie, and $1 on everything else. They had to be losing money b/c they shipped stuff separately from different locations to fill the orders.

Now you need to tack on $2.29 on each movie.

Box sets are a good buy though. Got Heroes season 2 for $8.94 shipped.

I went through the ordering process like I was going to purchase a movie and the only two shipping options were:

                        - Standard Mail ($2.28)
                        - Expedited ($6.28)

However on the product description page there is an option which says:

Can I pick this up at my local store?

And when I click on this it tells me that the item is available in "my store". I may have to call Hastings and see if there is some way to work this out and pick up the items in store.

                        I'll keep you posted Blzer.

EDIT: So bad news. I called my local Hastings and it seems that the Hastings (store) and the goHastings (online) are two distinct entities. Their product catalog varies and promotions for one are not applicable for the other.

Beau, I already placed my order. I waited for a while to do it and changed some of my order so now I only have 18 movies instead of 19 (plus Poseidon sold out). They switched to a flat fee per movie/box set (i want to say it's $2.29)

They ran a 99 cents shipping sale a few days ago.
