Definitely gotta question how Deftones' Diamond Eyes isn't in any of the lists.. Fantastic album from start to finish.

Good call. I thought I already made a post about this album in this thread but it says I haven't so. . .

Diamond Eyes was a tremendous release for this band. It's very front-to-backable (though I render it front-to-just-about-backable as I'm not a super fan of the very last song). Either way, the album is infinitely better than their previous album, which was mired by misdirection in spite of having a few solid songs itself.

Nothing compared to his first three obviously, but an improvement over his previous cd. Maybe that's why alot of people are putting it on their lists. Personally, I don't think much rap these days is worth a wooden nickel. The Roots and Big Boi are definately worthy, but Kanye's and Eminem's discs probably sound so great to alot of people, because their last cd's were such crap. That said, I do think Kanye's is the better of the two, though it seems he made some of the songs long, just for the sake of making them long. 2-3 minutes of rap instrumentation just doesn't do it for me.

After months since his release this is the first from anybody saying that the album was anything but good. this was my favorite of his, I can only listen to "kill every body, I do crazy drugs, I'm insane" which was the only crap he would rap about at first.

THE BLACK KEYS with a whole lot of love.

That "Brothers" album will go down as one of my all-time faves.

I also enjoyed Sade's "Soldier of Love", and Nas/Damian Marley's "Distant Relatives".

They're basically a blues-rock band. They've morphed their style over the years. From their first album to Rubber Factory it was pretty straight-forward, garage rock with muddy production. After that they started to expand a little bit, adding subtle textures and layers. Brothers sounds like their most produced album (even with Danger Mouse producing Attack & Release) as it, above all things, is a throw back to the best music from the 50s and 60s.

Deleted every song off my iTunes from that album. Hated it
