The bad thing is we thought the same after Fantastic Four.

Two of those films listed were released after that horrible film.

          Re: X-Men: First Class

I feel like out of all the super hero/comic movies coming out this year, this will be the best one in terms of a purely good movie. I see Thor and Captain America and Green Lantern being fun movies, but this X-men movie is going to be actually good.

Sort of reminds me of Batman Begins and how Nolan took that movie and grounded it in realism and went for something worthy. This Xmen movie seems much more grounded than the previous 3 and has a much better cast of actors. Now lets hope it doesn't forget that its origins are from a comic book and tries to please the fans as well as movie goers.

I've enjoyed all the Xmen movies. The FF movies were, however, two of the worst I've ever watched.

I saw the TV commercial and um...Magneto looks foolish.

A 30 second spot is not enough to sway one's judgment but well...This movie doesn't look all that impressive (well cept for the blowing up of air carriers)

Previews look good, I think it will only be the 4th best super hero movie this summer though behind Thor, GL, and Captain America.

Green Hornet, Priest, Cowboys vs Aliens and even Transformers are all comic book related movies I believe.

Looks like Priest has bombed, 5.6m it's opening weekend. We were going to go see it but we've spent the last 2 weekends watching Fast Five and Thor and want to see all of the movies I just mentioned which we won't be able to do. So movies like Priest get passed on. Might pass on CvA too, GL, X-Men, Transformers, and Captain America are can't miss though as someone who's first job was 4 years in a comic shop.

I don't think it looks THAT bad.

Also it's a good move they made openly telling that they've made their own universe/storyline because a lot of times you see some comic book or superhero movies try to play both sides of that, which pretty much never works out.

From the trailers, X-men looks better/more interesting than Thor or Captain America to me.

Those 2 movies have the edge by default because they were made by Marvel.

The X-Men, FF, and Spider-Man franchises can't get back to Marvel's in-house producers quick enough IMO. Fox and Sony have done relatively awful with these franchises with few exceptions. Thor is the 2nd or 3rd best Marvel movie yet IMO. Hard to take a series of movies that involved plausible leaps of faith and then introduce gods and magic and really pull it off, which they did fairly well with Thor I think.

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Other than Spiderman 3, I thought the series was awesome.

While true, Spiderman 3 was enough to set the entire series on a towering inferno and piss on the ashes.
