Loved the movie though. I don't really have much else to say about it, it was just a great origin story (which can lead to more sequels, which is awesome). The cameos were a nice touch too.

Movie was certainly better than I expected it to be. X and Mags played very well off each other..Great performances. Bacon always does solid work and is probably one of the most underappreciated actors in Hollywood imo. Kelsey Grammar as Beast imo would be hard to top as he and Mags were probably the best things in X3. The kid did a good job in this but I thought the makeup was pretty cheesey looking. Also some of the people they chose as XMen left me a little disappointed. 7.5-8 out of 10 imo.
EA and 2k have the unfortunate task of trying to balance on a tightrope of fun and sim while trying not to fall 10,000 feet to their death. Instead of a safety net waiting down below there will just be angry customers quick to move out of the way and talk of their failure.

Just seen it and I loved it. All I can say is that I really, really hope they get to continue down this path and expand on things.

          Re: X-Men: First Class

One of the best superhero films I've seen.

Constant story, moving plot, suspense from start to finish. Never felt like there was a dull moment.

I think always knowing that eventually Erik was going to turn on Charles just keeps you on edge and maybe saddens you because you know the two could have been great together.

Surprised this hasn't been posted yet anywhere.

After months of speculation, we finally know the name for the upcoming sequel to “X-Men: First Class.” And no it’s not “X-Men: Second Class,” though we’d all kind of been hoping that would be the case.

In an interview with IGN, producer Bryan Singer confirmed the title will be “X-Men: Days of Future Past.” The name is borrowed from the “Days of Future Past” storyline that originally appeared in the Uncanny X-Men back in 1981. The fan-favorite story arc alternates between the present and a future where the X-Men fail to overturn Mystique’s Brotherhood of Evil Mutants and now mutants are forced to live in internment camps. It’s up to the present day X-Men to prevent this timeline from occurring.
Thoughts? I hope this doesn't end up like the last classic X-Men tale told...ahem X3. Phoenix Saga. I'm looking forward to it though.

I have complete faith that the story will be fine, I'm just hoping that their effects budget has been raised and they use a different studio.

If I went any bigger, it would not have properly fit with my equipment, so I had to optimize. I'm okay with it, but I also know what I'm missing with those five inches. :)

Singer should return to the director's chair again, for old time's sake.

I wonder if they use the Days of Future Past comic arc in the movie. If so we may finally see sentinels on screen

X-Men movies were good. Superman Returns was not.

I've really liked all of Vaughn's films I've seen (Layer Cake, Kick ***, X-Men).

I remember this storyline being handled well in the animated series. But I also may just be holding that animated series in high regard.

Vaughn is a very under-rated director. I also enjoyed the films you mentioned..

Question: You mentioned X-Men, and I just had to ask you because I’m a huge X-Men fan, what can you say about the new film coming out?

Bryan Singer: I can say it’s being written right now and it will start shooting in a few months. It’s going to be very ambitious. It’s called Days of Future Past and it deals with aspects of that comic but also some very new things. I just don’t want to give any of it away. Matthew Vaughn will be directing and I’m totally excited about it.

It had pretty bad special effects but First Class came out after that and with movies like District 9 having amazing effects with relatively no money, they need to step it up.

I don't know why, but I never really sensed a lot of confidence coming from the studio prior to release. Maybe I'm off base, though.
