I loved all three Matrix movies. Not sure how they could go with a plot with Neo if it is a sequel and not a prequel though. But whatever ... I'm in.

Makes me Happy. The original Matrix is one of my favorite movies of all time. Even though the 2nd and 3rd didn't live up to the original at all, I'll hold out hope these can.

I don't mind, but man if Keanu and the crew are going to be back in this, they have to get in some serious shape. If Laurence Fishburne, Carrie-Anne Moss, and Hugo Weaving even considered coming back, let's just hope they still have what it takes (with some rigorous training) to do what they need to do without any stunt double work.

3D would impeccably be a wonderful idea for these two movies, but IMO they don't need to do anything differently with shots that the first three movies already did. Just give it the 3D effect and it will still be awesome. I just hate having to see a 2D conversion go sour because they went too much for the gimmick rather than just the depth.

I hope that's Reeves' subtle indication that the other two were pretty poor in comparison with the original. The first one imo was so well written and paced it's hard to believe the other 2 came from the same minds/writers. While the 1st left it open for a sequel(s), I felt it could have stood on it's own without them. The sequels came off to me as Hollywood trying to capitlize on a good thing which usually leads to uninspired film making/scripts. If they do another one of these I will wait for video.

That's what they were: capitalizing on the success of the first film. It's also important to note that the Bros haven't exactly done anything worthwhile since Matrix. They are the action genre M. Knight.

I just read the IGN article before seeing this. Did anyone else see the comments below that said the story is fake?

Not sure if that's the case or not. Either way I'm not against them doing these sequels, but at the same time I'm not sure if they're needed.

Fishburne really needs to get into shape for this movie.......he is the most out of shape. I'd also rather they keep this in 2D, no need for that 3D crap.

Yeah IGN has updated the story at the bottom with quotes from Reeves agent or whoever saying that it is not true.

Matrix in Cameron's 3d technology sounds like a winner.

I'm definitely interested and would love to see it in 3D. The original Matrix was a breakthrough and I think they could make a pretty cool 3D movie out of these.

This bump is way too late in the game, but I always assumed this was still happening because there weren't any other updates on this at all.

Anyway, for those who were still under a rock about this but me, the previous rumors seem to be untrue. The IGN link has an update (probably from a day or so later, haha) that states it's not happening.
