This. It's an excellent rock record.

My personal favorite track is Walk.

I'm not the biggest Foo fan, but I'd say if they ever put out a greatest hits album it would be a must by. With that said, I think they are definitely a heavyweight in terms of being a band that can pack an arena and put on a show. Don't know why they've never been pegged to play a Super Bowl halftime show with their mass appeal.

Anyway, I watched a couple minutes from a special VH1 (?) was doing about the album and it somewhat intrigued me. Apparently, they went with a very old school recording method: tape! To me, that is going to give the album a nice, natural, gritty/grungy sound due to the imperfections of not recording digitally. Dave Grohl is a music aficionado, I mean, the guy lives and breathes music - just look at all the success he's had in his career along with countless side projects - so I'd be really interested in how this entire album sounds.

Yes, tape! And what they did was cut up that tape and inserted it into all of the first edition cds released. If you were lucky enough to snag one, post a pic in this thread!

They do have a greatest hits album.

I've listened to this album a few times now and I think it's their best since The Colour and the Shape. I actually like all of their albums.

Yeah, I'm really liking this album.

Arlandria, Back and Forth, Walk, Rope and These Days are my favorites so far.

I'm considering deleting White Limo, it's the only song I truly dislike on the album.

Everything else is great, great stuff.

Bean, why is your name white? Did you demand a refund from Steve? lol

Haha, it was a running gag that I had fooled a couple of people with but I think I'll get it back to blue soon.

And I agree about White Limo...easily the only song I really don't like on the album.

I like White Limo. It's a complete curveball from everything else on the album for sure, however, and really a departure from everything else Foo Fighters have ever done. I can understand any negative opinion towards it, in other words.

My one favorite song is "Walk", though I really do enjoy every song on the album.

                                It's pretty good.

Walk and Rope are easily the best songs.
