    Re: M. Night's One Thousand A.E.

I'm slightly interested in this concept at this point. Without Will Smith I might have no desire to learn any more about it, but as it stands I'll keep an eye out for new info. I honestly don't have much experience with M. Night's movies, as I've only seen Signs, so I can't say that his name being attached to it will affect me much one way or the other.

This is a shame. Will Smith has been picking pretty much all good projects lately, guess not on this one.

It's been too long Will, unfortunately we will be seeing you in MIB III and also Bad Boys III. If this One Thousand AE flops, you could have three flops in a short time span. Not how I want to see Will on screen man.

So I'm reading conflicting reports on who exactly wrote the script

          I read one article saying:

"A press release today from Sony has made it all official, announcing that Jaden will star in the film along with his dad, and that Shyamalan will direct the screenplay he wrote along with Gary Whitta."

          and then:

"And unlike most of Shyamalan’s oeuvre, to which his most recent film The Last Airbender is an exception, A.E. is not written by Shyamalan."

          So which is it?

Wow. I'm not even sure Will Smith can save us from the ****fest that is an M. Night movie. He did save us from aliens, robots, and other random bad guys though, so......

I enjoy the M. Knight movies, they always got some kind of twist so with Will Smith, who I think is one of the best actors of this era I'll check it out.

I think they just mean it isn't written solely by M. Night.

Same here. Plus Will Smith. And Sci-Fi. Definitely is promising.

You didn't get the twist right.

His son died in the crash and became a robot that is actually the monster attacking him which all takes place in his mind while he is knocked unconscious and dying from the crash.

This prompted me to see if Denzel had ever made a really, really bad movie and there really isn't anything there that screams "BAD!". Some could be "mediocre" but that's about it.

Love the concept and cast... but M. Night's name on it scares the **** out of me, lol.

I would say Book of Eli was pretty bad but that could just be taste popping up again.

Also Ricochet was not exactly a great movie either though maybe that's more mediocre then outright bad. I haven't seen it in years. I shall have to correct that.

I thought John Q was pretty bad but I'm maybe one of ten people that feel that way on this Earth.
